Falkingham's Shoe Repairs

I'm sooo happy I've found such a good repair shop. After checking a few shops and being told my shoes couldn't be restored, I was getting desperate to find a place being able to bring my favorite pair of leather boots back to life. My boots were worn out (soles falling apart and holes). They now look brand new! Couldn't be happier! They also fixed my leather bag, and again they didn't disappoint. Best shoe repair shop I've been to. I would highly recommend it.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! My shoes were not repaired in the way i asked them to be and the owner refused to acknowledge this. He also didn't give an approximate price or any indication of the cost when asked and then tried to charge a ridiculous amount on collection. One of the rudest men i have ever met. For the sake of your shoes, avoid this shop!

DO NOT GO HERE FOR SHOE REPAIRS.I took a pair of shoes in to get new heels, when I got home part of the leather had torn out of the sole. I went back to explain what had happened and they refused to accept responsibility or to fix the shoes for me. It ended in a heated argument in front of other customers. Will never go back. Extremely rude and obnoxious staff.

A few words of advice: Be specific regarding that which you want done and that which you don't. They took the liberty of dyeing part of the shoe without my consent. When placing edge dressing, the cobbler also dyed the leather just above the welt, all around each shoe. I brought this to their attention, but was laughed out of the store.

Awful. I asked for a price and got well and truly patronised like I should have had an idea of the price. I dont work in the industry and pleasantly didn't argue the price given but agreed the item wasn't worth fixing. The elderly lady that served me treated me like I was stupid answering questions with questions with comments like 'what did you expect to pay $2'. Felt condescending and inappropriate, I won't go in there again.

I went in to have boots resoled with rubber. I got leather soles put on and told I had asked for leather. When I said this isn't what I asked for I was told its your lucky day as leather is better. Poor customer service. They did an ok job but no apology and rudeness means I will not ever go back

Over the yearsI have used Faulkinghams for repairs of a variety of items from RM Williams boots to business shoes, belts and motorcycle gloves. Always a top professional job making things look as good as new. Just recently I even wheeled my scooter in to see if they would have a go at repairing my seat. Maria Maria herself, the owner, took up the challenge and now it looks better than new. I highly recommend this place for any repairs to shoes belts and so forth. Lovely people and they do a great job.

I put a pair of shoes in and was told they needed a half sole each replaced. Price was not discussed which I take responsibility for. Went to collect and was told sole and heels were done I said that heels were never mentioned by me or them so I’m not sure why they were done. The lady told me she wouldn’t write it down if it wasn’t asked and told me the cost was $85. Everybody I’ve spoken to thinks that is ridiculously expensive. The lady offered me $10 off. I told her I was shocked at how expensive it was and I was sorry I wasn’t trying to make trouble but didn’t ask for feels. She told me with patronising eyes that next time she will get me to fill in the ticket so there’s no discrepancy. I was not rude to her at all and there will never be a next time. Rip off!

The heels of my shoes were repaired fast and done professionally. They also fixed the scuffing of the leather on the heels and polished the shoes at no extra cost. Great service and the owner Maria was a delight to deal and talk to.

I went in to drop off some shoes and was greeted with a grunt. Knowing shoe repairs do normally have the people skills of a potato, I look it with a grain of salt. When I went back however I was greeted with a bill so high it would have been better to buy new shows. Not only that but when I insisted that I didn't want shoe cream she charged me for it anyway, and when I called up to get a refund she was horribly rude, told me she didn't know how to do it and hung up on me. What service, unknowledgeable staff. Very expensive for mediocre work and horrible service.
