Kanji Fresh Sushi

The food was exceptional, easily one of the best in the Southern Shire. The staff was also very accomodating and attentive. Would recommend!

Clean and generous sushi joint in Gymea. Really suprise of the quality of the fish. Ths Kenji Special roll is awesome! Really popular and have booking & take away service.

I don't profess to be a sushi coniseeur but I have eaten my fair share at many sushi shops and this place has the best sushi I've had by far. Yes the prices are a little more expensive than others (but everything is expensive these days), but the quality, freshness and service I receive has been great every time.

Received our order from Kanji only to find the ENTIRE order was incorrect. Rang the restaurant and spoke to one of the employees and was immediately told that it was the delivery drivers fault, not Kanjis.Upon checking the receipt details, it was clear to see it was the restaurant in the wrong -- NOT the delivery driver, as they would have you believe.So, I decided to make a special trip to the restaurant, to return the random concoction of food they had tried giving us.The owner first tried to double down saying it was the drivers fault, then when the receipt was produced (clearly showing it was Kanji at fault), the owner tried to take a 2ND PAYMENT for the food that was a) already paid for and b) should have been refunded.When none of these options were working for her, she made a last ditch attempt at the language barrier" -- she did however know enough English to advise me on all of the above...The clear message and thing that you should take away from this is: everyone makes mistakes (hence no one being perfect)

The food here is reliably delicious. They have mastered their menu and deliver each and every time. The staff are always super friendly and the food is usually ready right on time. Always fresh tasting and never had 1 bad or even average dish. Even witnessed a local being rude to the staff the other day and they handled themselves so professionally. Way to go. Highly recommended. Update from Jan 2022 - still top notch. Can't fault

Funny how we are encouraged to use plastic to pay but we're continuously shunted by retailers like this. They charged me a 50c surcharge for using my card. This makes me so shirty!! I would have not purchased had the Nori rolls neen for me but they were for my daughter so I continued. She didn't like the rolls much either. She said they fell apart when picked up with chopsticks.

It absolutely pains me to say this because I've long been a huge fan and frequient visitor of Kanji Fresh Sushi in Carinbah, so when their Gymea location opened so close to home, I could have cried for joy. Unfortunately during the time it's been open the quality of their sushi has rapidly declined. I've visited upwards of 30+ times and I've gradually come to the realisation that it simply isn't worth the money and sadness. Their premium Kanji Roll is regularly yummy, but rolls incorporating fresh fish are generally disappointing. The salmon always eats like theyve filled the rolls with chewy offcuts and more than once I've been forced to throw out what I've bought. The poke bowls which were once nice are now boring with limited ingredients offered. Other donburi bowls are more vegetable and cabbage than protein. Just all around disappointed that a place I used to love is somewhere I no longer visit. Sorry guys.

Tasty and fresh sushi. Value for money for Japanese food. Short wait times

Used to be good but the prices have gone very high and the quality has gone down significantly. Spent over $100 for 3 people and had to throw some of it away. Very disappointing.

Food and service was incredible! Highly recommend coming here for a delicious meal!
