This place is incredible. Wonderful authentic Sri Lankan food and phenomenal service. Took the folks here close to closing time, the staff stayed open for us and served incredible food. Thanks to Lion and the staff for a great afternoon.

Best Sri Lankan restaurant I have ever been to. The owner is a very friendly and kind person. We went there after 2 pm, when the restaurant is usually closed. But he welcomed us and served us the best authentic Sri Lankan food I have ever tasted in Melbourne. It was delicious, staff and service was excellent. If possible I would give 10 stars

We happened upon here for dinner one evening, enticed by the strip of diverse cuisines. I have a weakness for Sri Lankan food as it always so fragrant and flavorful. We were immediately greeted with attentive customer service from Chris who helped us navigate the extensive menu. I shared a samosa, lamb Lamprais and a 2 curry biryani with my partner, all of which came quickly and was presented beautifully too. All the Sri Lankan food I've had in Melbourne has been a hit but this was so good, sweetened with the warmth from both the maitre d and the chef.

The menu offered an extensive selection of traditional Sri Lankan dishes, including hoppers, kottu roti, and various types of curry. I opted for the classic chicken curry with a side of string hoppers and coconut sambol, and I was thoroughly impressed by the depth of flavor in each dish. The spices were well-balanced and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Additionally, the string hoppers were light and delicate, complementing the rich curry.

Absolutely delicious soul food!!! The chefs at Okra make their food with love are care made to nourish not just the tastebuds but also the soul and body. The owner is incredible and explains why he uses certain ingredients and avoids others with thoughtfulness of health not just flavour in this delicious authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. HIGHLY recommend. Vegetarian and vegan options available and great value!

This is a hidden gem with some of the most delicious food in the inner north. Fragrant curries with unusual flavours and lots of variety and novelty. Cashew, pineapple dishes are incredible. Lovely staff, especially the chef who is justifiably proud of his work. Highly recommend.

I walked in and their food just blew my mind, I ordered the scramble Tofu and the taste was something that I can't describe. Costumer service was amazing and the food quality was superb. I would surely recommend this place to my friends and anyone searching for a bite around that area... will visit this place again. Keep it up.

We walked past this restaurant and tried their Tofu Scramble during breakfast. The food was delicious and very unique. The owner was the one preparing and serving us, he was very friendly and the service was excellent.
