Accommodation was clean and adequate for the family. The staff other than a couple, we’re very blunt, not particularly interested in providing information about what’s in the area, let alone service when it came to food and drinks in the pub/restaurant. Price of food is also an absolute rip off, I get that the pub is in the middle of nowhere, however charging the ridiculous prices for literally only one choice for lunch and dinner is a bit to stomach when you’re traveling with a family. In future will bypass and continue onto either Georgetown or directly to Cobbold Gorge.

Great service & company from Allen & Chris. Good BBQ on Thursday. Allen helped get AFL game on TV. Great location for 2 nights. While we were in a van heard from others that rooms were good

This place is the neatest bush pub ive ever been to. Its a pub, convenience store, motel, fuel station. Honestly its an oasis and refreshing to see in a small town. Parked the bikes around the back, had a beer had a feed and stayed in one of the rooms. Staff were friendly and the joint was well run and maintained.

At post office and shop great service a wealth of local Knowledge provided.regarding area and road conditions. Worth a stop for groceries and fresh fruit.

We stayed at the back of the pub for two nights as the caravan park was full. We had a meal at the pub, only limited food from the menu available. The meals were good, expensive. And to top it off, over the two nights three road trains pulled over next to us, idled engines for 20mins and at 4.30am, set off, idling engines for ages. The whole town would have been awoken by this. Pretty arrogant we think.

Wanted to include photo of my medium rare steak that the shoemaker thought was too burnt to use as a shoe sole.At least beer was cold, wine good and service very friendly.Maybe an idea to find new kitchen staff.

What can I say. After a round trip from cost to out west, visiting a handful of outback pubs alone the way. We stopped here for a night before the last stretch home. Was the worst pub we’ve been to in all of North and outback Queensland. Bar services was lousy, food was overpriced with only one option and small serves, especially for a pub meal. Dissatisfied and won’t be back

Great place to just stop in. Service great. If your interested read the history on the walls. Handy having general store attached to hotel. Gems on display beautiful. Finnegan Rest right across the road for the kids

I would also like to add that the atmosphere of the hotel and restaurant was simply delightful. The decor and ambiance created a relaxing and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Additionally, the location of this establishment makes it a perfect starting point for exploring the beautiful surroundings. Whether you are in town for business or pleasure, I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant for a truly wonderful and memorable experience. Make sure to try their signature dishes and drinks - they are exceptional! Thank you again to the staff and management for making my stay so enjoyable. I can't wait to come back soon!
