First I have to say I’m giving 3 stars thanks to the service, otherwise it will be a 2 . The staff is nice and friendly. However, the food it’s quite average, the prices do not match the quality of the food. I went on a Friday night, we ordered two sirloin steaks, and the meat was hard and tasteless. The sauce had an old taste. The fries were doubled fried and oily. We visit different pubs on a weekly basis and we had better meals for half of the price. I will recommend it for drinks, but definitely not for food.

Revisiting this beautiful art deco pub after 21 years. Awesome lunch. We had the herb crumbed lamb chops and the crispy skin salmon. Both delicious. Garlic bread one of the best we have had. Staff lovely and friendly.

Good quality pub food and the mains are quite large. The Nelson is good for groups of around 10 to 12 people at the big tables. Sometimes when it is crowded it can become very noisy making it difficult to hear any conversations, however weigh that up with the quality of the food and you can understand why we keep going back.

Love this place, stopped in for a beer on the way home from shopping.. Staff are friendly and great place to sit and unwind. Will be going back to try their food.

It’s a very big space. Would be nice if they had big sports screens for big nights. The food is delicious. I love their barramundi fish with chips with gravy. Good for lunch takeaway.

S..thouse.I always judge a pub by how how they present their lower priced option.Bangers and Mash, Wed 31 May, origin night , bucketloads of staff on, would have been plenty of good prep for this service tonight . No excusesDry , old sausages, powder like mash, over cooked peas and just a little dollop of gravy c.rap.No handle on the return door from the dunnies , just a little screw in the door .Pick ur game up Nelo.Shith..use all round.2 stars, won’t eat here for a while
