Undoubtedly the best coffee in Petersham. Period.Consistent, good coffee, every time.Super friendly staff and open early.Great selection of pastries and cakes and a good menu with lots to chose from from brunch to lunch.Plenty of good options for something on the run or sit in an enjoy the morning sunshine, blankets available if you feel the cold.This has a great community vibe to it and it's easy to see why they're a favourite among locals.Absolutely recommend coming here, again and again.

A super chill spot! It’s great to see that they’re always busy and I don’t mind the wait. One of the top five coffees in the area. I’ve only had a brief breakfast there, but was happy with it overall. It also helps that the staff are super friendly. A lot of cafes are hit and miss, but The Counter is always consistent.

Awesome food, and great customer service. I had the smashed avo with poached eggs and bacon. Awesome combination of flavours! Nice flat white to top it off.

Coffee tastes like cigarette ashes.Beans must have been over-roasted, and that tiny toast should be on the bin not on the plate.

Lovely place with adorable service. The coffee was alright, and my waffle sandwich was way too sweet, but the chicken pate was fantastic. Will come again.
