Woolworths Macquarie Ryde

Verbally abused at checkout by another customer. At express checkout counter a lady with a trolley FULL bumped into me causing me to drop my broccolini on the floor she still wasn't moving so I shifted her trolley slightly so I could pick it up before it got run over by the trolley. Another customer waiting in line came all the way up to me to yell at me for not helping the lady with her trolley (which to be fair shouldn't have even been at the express checkout). She kept yelling at me until I left the store so I couldn't talk to the manager. The reason woollies gets this review is the manager didn't try to help when he saw a middle aged woman screaming at a young girl with tears welling up in my eyes really immature shameful behaviour.

The Macquarie woolies I recently visited was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with a barrage of unpleasant sights, sounds, and smells. The store was dirty and disorganized, with aisles strewn with discarded packaging and spilled merchandise. The staff were rude and unhelpful, seeming more interested in chatting with each other than assisting customers. And to top it all off, I was subjected to a humiliating search every time I left the store, despite having clearly paid for my purchases.The first thing I noticed upon entering was the overpowering stench of rotting produce. The store's produce section was a mess, with wilted greens and moldy fruit piled high in bins. Flies buzzed around the area, and the smell was so bad that I had to hold my breath as I made my way past. The rest of the store was no better. The floors were dirty and sticky, and discarded packaging littered the aisles. It was clear that no one had bothered to clean up in quite some time.As I made my way through the store, I attempted to seek assistance from a staff member. Unfortunately, the employees were too busy chatting amongst themselves to pay me any attention. When I finally managed to catch the eye of a passing employee, I was met with a rude and dismissive response. It was as if they were annoyed at the idea of having to help a customer. This lack of customer service was frustrating, to say the least.But the worst part of my experience at this woolies was the humiliating searches I was subjected to every time I left the store. Despite having clearly paid for my purchases and showing my receipt, I was always pulled aside and subjected to a search of my bags and person. The staff were aggressive and unfriendly during these searches, making me feel like a criminal rather than a paying customer. It was a deeply uncomfortable experience that left me feeling violated and angry.In conclusion, my experience at this woolies was nothing short of disgusting. The store was dirty and disorganized, the staff were rude and unhelpful, and the security measures were invasive and humiliating. I will never shop at this supermarket again and would strongly recommend that others avoid it as well. No one should have to endure such a terrible shopping experience, and it is unacceptable for a business to treat its customers in such a disrespectful manner.

Close to restaurants, CarPark and other stores. Can get busy but good location.

My husband bought chocolate’s, assuming they were on special, paid and then realised they were full price. He wanted to return them, then and there, but the staff member and the service desk said that woollies don’t do returns any more and that it was a new policy. The chocolate were unopened and with the receipt and yet they were very unhelpful. We later found out that there is no such a new policy. Macquarie woollies unhelpful and unprofessional.

The guy at the check out Kieren was so rude, it was 9.55pm and he refused us entry and said sorry we are closed. Clearly your website states you close at 10pm. Never coming back!!

Really poor service.I waited at the deli section. The lady looked at me and then serve the person that walked up because they were straight in front of it.When I pointed this out, she just argued.If you don’t want to service customers don’t be in the business.

My worst experience with the Vegemite coin" is

The staff members in fish/seafood and hot meals sections are really rude, they look like they do not want to serve customers at all. I was at seafood counter at this arvo around 2:00 to 2:30 and witness that their poor service delivered to customers. Shame !

One of the best Woolies out there. Has friendly and helpful staffs and almost everything. You get everything right from plants to magazines. Varied number of bakery, meats and snacks. Stocked up kitchenware and desserts. From international food to tinned food. You have it all. The space between aisles are smooth enough for prams and trolleys. Absolutely recommended ❤️

I reported about unsafety thing as they let the pallet on the floor where people keep passing by on that aisle. This is unsafe for everybody. But the staff just ignored it. Wondering have they been trained about safety before they work there ? Ridicolous woolworths that i never experienced it before.
