Great bakery in the southwestern Queensland town of Mitchell. This place is very busy thanks to its great reputation with both locals and travellers. I recommend grabbing on their beef pies.

What a good little surprise this bakery was... when you hear of the few things outback towns have one is always a bakery and Mitchell bakery certainly did not disappoint. While I was recommended Lamingtons, when a local walked past me with two bags of hotcross buns, I could not go past these! Great, friendly service, very accommodating.... and you MUST try their hotcross buns if theyre still available. These are to die for! Best invention I've seen ever CHOCOLATE-MINT! And the Butterscotch x date were pretty amazing too.

Stopped in for breakfast and a coffee. Great barista coffee and sandwich. Picked up some hot cross buns too which were freshly baked. Definitely worth a stop.
