Final Touch Alterations

Thoroughly recommend Final Touch alterations. Mai was my fairy godmother when it came to my wedding dress! I didn't realise how much time was needed to alter the dress. My dress was purchased from Luv Bridal and formal in Como towards the end of May, and I was getting married in August. Apparently that's not a lot of time to alter a dress, but Mai made it work. Mai was very honest and professional, her appointments were quick and efficient. I loved my wedding gown, and she even let my mum spend some time in her studio :)

Mai and her team were just amazing! Fantastic service from the beginning to finish. I purchased my dress from Raffinato Bridal - great design, but very tricky to make changes due to the amount of lace..Mai did an excellent job and the dress is just perfect! I would recommend her services to all my friends and family. If you're looking for a place you can trust, Final Touch Claremont is THE place!! Thanks Mai! :)

This place is worth every penny. The dress fitted like a glove and so professionally done. I got the sleeves lifted and the body taken in - for the quality of the work it was very reasonably priced!

I cannot speak highly enough of Mai from Final Touch Alterations. I bought my wedding dress from a reputable Perth bridal store and had a disastrous experience. Multiple seamstresses refused to touch my gown until I met Mai who carried out extensive alterations including re-working the entire front of my dress, let it out by 5cms, added off the shoulder straps and lace and beading detail, hemmed, added bustle, removed 20 buttons and replaced with crystal buttons with invisible reinforcement (hook and eyes) and made a pocket square for my husband using my hem material. The final result was an absolutely perfect gown that was more beautiful than I ever dreamed it would be!! Thank you again Mai for the incredibly work you did my gown and for being so kind and reassuring xx

Mai was so lovely, professional and helpful. She was very upfront with me about if what I wanted was possible to achieve and the cost, long term wearability of the garment with alterations. She made sure I didn’t waste my time or money if it wasn’t going to work.The garments she altered are fabulous now and she made them fit perfectly! Final Touch Alterations did an excellent job altering my daughter's ball dress. The dress was fully sequined and needed extensive alterations to make the dress fit my daughter's small frame. The alterations were completed to an extremely high standard and the service was both friendly, professional and very good value for the amount of work involved. The dress looks like it has been custom made to measure and my daughter couldn't be happier with the result. Thank you.

Going to final touch was a complete disaster. I took in a black and white ball gown to final touch on bay view terrace for it to have the hem taken up, the bodice taken in and the front stitching was loose. They charged $270 to do this job which they completely messed up.The first time i picked it up: it was taken in way too tight and would not do up properly. the material would buckle if trying to do it up and i could barely breathe. The front bodice loose stitching was not fixed as i had paid for.I had to take the train and organise a baby sitter for my baby to be able to go back and return to complain to the owner. She let the dress out and fixed the front stitching. However, they ruined the bodice, the look of the dress and the cups had all moved.When I called her to speak to her that I had photographic evidence this was done by her. She ignored me, said it was my fault, and refused to fix it unless I paid again.I took photos when I purchased the dress, after it was dry cleaned, after she had ruined it the first time, and the second time. The evidence was all there that her or her staff had ruined the bodice of the dress but she refused to take responsibility.So I paid $350 for a new dress, $50 for drycleaning and $270 for her services to ruin everything and end up with no solution.I had to purchase a completely new ball gown for my event. I am and was completely devastated by the service, workmanship and the lack of responsibility taken by Mei and her staff. They would not resolve the issue and would not take responsibility for their mistake.please please please, take your business elsewhere. She is expensive and will ruin your clothes.Thankyou for reading.

I can not say enough good things about this place. Mai was amazing, meticulous, and thorough when it came to my alterations. In all I need the bust taken in and ultimately some padding added, an intricate hem taken up and a bustle done. The price was fair and the workmanship was excellent!To top everything off, when I casually mentioned I took the train down to all of my fittings, she insisted I let her have my dress delivered to my house.Such amazing customer care. Can't wait for my wedding day!

I took my bridal gown to Final Touch after being unhappy with alterations I had done elsewhere. After seeing the dress on Mai knew exactly what alterations were necessary to get the perfect fit and I could't have been more happy with the result.
