The Palmetum
This is our first visit to The Palmetum even though we have lived in Townsville for three years. Some of the walls were closed, which was disappointing. All up the walls were great, very natural and we saw wallabies and also Ibis' in their nests in the rain trees. Will definitely go again.Dogs allowed on leashes.

Stunningly beautiful hidden gem. So many different worlds to explore. Wish I had more time to explore further. Lots of little out of the way seats that invite you to sit and watch the world. Will definitely come back

The Palmetum
Absolutely stunning!!Total hidden gem but a must see for all!Very tranquil, beautiful and energizing.Make sure you also head out to the left to the Ross River then right 200m to the bridge where you will find loads of turtles waiting to say hi.Park is open from sunrise to sunset. I’d suggest coming after 8am when the sun is up and shining on all the leaves and giving it a whole different look. Stunning.

The Palmetum
This palm garden is beautiful and relaxing to walk through or sit and have a picnic. There are water lilies along the river edge of the Palmetum. There are some huge spiders in there and saw a python just having a snooze in the garden bed. Worth a visit, maybe not on a very hot day. The is a really nice Cafe at the entrance Absolute Cravings"

Please like photos if they help you with your decisions. This place is a must if you enjoy peace and tranquillity. The leisurely walk through this park is well worth the trip here. Enjoy a coffee after you finished walking around or before for that matter. The trees are spectacular and cactus gardens a must see. Please enjoy yourselves and waste a little time in this picturesque environment. Cheers big ears
