What would you go to the supermarket for when everything here is so good, so easy to cook and comes with friendly expert advice?

I really want to support my local but in this case I will not be coming back and I’m going to drive a extra 10minutes to hopefully find a better purchase. I’m rating this butcher low because of price and quality. I am happy enough to pay a higher price for good quality however every time I have purchased meat from this butcher it is of low quality compared to purchasing from any Iga, Coles, or a Woolworths. That is disappointing because this butcher is expensive. I have purchased meat here a half dozen times and every time felt ripped off. Half of the time I found that the meat was spoilt and had a foul odour. Every time I purchased meat from here I was cooking it the same evening. One time I just threw a rump steak out because of its smell. Apart from that the steaks were tough and chewy and my kids refused to eat them.update: I did buy from here several times since but I had similar experiences so not much changed. I didn’t receive foul smelling meat next few times but the prices are way too high for a budget quality product. You need to watch the staff weighing the meat because they advertise per kg then charge per item. I decided to do a experiment and compare t bones with what was being sold next door at IGA. The size was very comparable but the cost of the butcher was twice as much. The appearance of the IGA steak was not as good but it was still better taste and more tender. I would rather buy my meat from a butcher rather than a supermarket but I’m not ever buying here until they honestly charge the price for what they are selling.
