First time I came here I thought it was trying too hard, too expensive, and not well cooked.Second time I tried to order online, they took payment and accepted the order. When I came to pick it up the front gate is locked with no explanation... nobody to be foundturns out they had a power outage. OK. unlucky.but they definitely inconvenienced me as they did not contact or refund meHuxtaburger and Meet and Bun are both much better anyway. don't know what I was thinkingcontact me for refund please. I already tried to call. no answer.

A great venue with great vibes, and serving some delicious burgers and booze. This gem has outstanding service and music and it’s a must visit! We were blown away by their cheese burgers and plant based burgers

It was our first time at this restaurant and it couldn't have been worse. Not only did they forget half of our order we waited over an hour for the part they remembered. We spoke to 2 different waitress both telling us it was coming and we then waited another 30 mins before someone finally admitted they didn't know what they were making. Not only was the wait time ridiculous it was a Wednesday night and we were charged full price for the $5 dollar special to then be told they couldn't do anything to reimburse it.I would highly recommend never stepping foot in this place the food was fine but overall it was an awful experience on a quiet night.

My partner and I have been twice now and both times have been a great experience.Bar staff are incredibly friendly, we thought the young guy at the bar was very well spoken and did a great job taking our orders, considering he was a new hire and had only been working at Upperhand for a month. 4/05/23. Please let him know to keep up the good work.Some of the best burgers I’ve had, and even the vegan options are pretty tasty too.Music choice is superb and will definitely be enjoyed if you love artists like Mac Miller, Tyler The Creator, Thunder Cat and more in that vein, but was probably a little too loud on the outside speakers the first time we went and made conversation a little hard, really my only complaint.

Arrived at 17:00, venue was cold & all customers inside had their coats on, visibly cold. Staff were working between the kitchen and the counter, bringing food hygiene into question. Lights in the toilet were not working. After waiting over 30 minutes for food, the couple opposite us left without their food. I asked the old grey-haired guy (who was wearing a hat) why the food had taken so long & he said it would be ready in a couple of minutes. 5 minutes later he walked out with it, I explained we had waited far too long in the cold. He snatched the bag out of my hands and flung it along the bar, whilst exclaiming oh you don't want to pay for your $5 burgers now?". Extremely rude and I actually felt sorry for this person. Business will fold soon

A very cool recently renovated burger joint, serving gluten free and vegetarian options as well as alcoholic bubble tea!!!Gluten free fried chicken was good and the GF bun was one of the best ive had!It is quite expensive for a burger but at least it was tasty. Will be back.
