Julie is amazing. I can't speak highly enough of her and her dressmaking ability. After purchasing a beautiful wedding dress from a certain salon in Penrith the quote they gave for alterations was ludicrously high, so we called Thredz, keeping it local. Not only did Julie alter the dress as they suggested, she also fixed the many flaws on the gown they had neglected to mention or overlooked. And for far less than we were quoted at Penrith. The end result was the dress of my daughters dreams and the pleasure of meeting a truly talented, friendly, good hearted and caring professional in Julie. We know we will be bringing every dressmaking task to Thredz from now on, whether a minor alteration or repair or a complete design and create. We know everything Julie touches is in the best possible hands.

These amazing ladies managed to fit me in to have my dress for a wedding altered. So professional and knowledgeable!

Julie and her team do great work! I would strongly recommend Thredz to anyone. Julie did the alterations for my wedding dress. My dress was very detailed and had a lot of lace and layers of material. Julie did a great job in having it fit my body precisely. From the moment I met Julie, I was confident my dress was in good hands. Julie had the dress ready on time and it was perfect!

Julie was amazing. Work was beautifully finished. Always friendly. Adjusted my dress (MOB) and did adjustments to my daughter's wedding dress which now fits her like a princess.Bring on the wedding this Saturday.!!

Julie and Bec were fantastic.I had bought a dress with a split that was too high. I wanted it adjusted, being the MOB.Also, I had bought a piece of faux fur to make a stole (nothing in the shops would fit me) . Heart in mouth, as the wedding was a few short weeks away, I asked about Thredz making the stole. At the fitting appointment, Julie, somewhat theatrically, threw away the lining I had bought and suggested making the stole lined with the same fabric. Yay, I thought , why didn’t I think of that!A few days prior to the wedding I collected both items which fitted perfectly.You will find Thredz highly skilled and professional. They also run to time, which is so important in the lead up to a special event!Highly recommend!

Julie and her team are fantastic. They have been involved in dressmaking in our family from formal dresses right through to bridesmaid dress alterations and mother of the bride accessories. So helpful and give great suggestions and ideas. The previous review says he got no answer on a Monday. The opening hours very clearly say the shop is closed on Mondays so I think that review can be totally ignored!
