NOMADI COOLUM

I visited Nomadi while spending a weekend in Coolum with the girlfriend. She was very pleased with the clothing items and this fan that reminded her of her grandmother (who owned one similar in fashion) and bought some of the roll-on perfumes which she uses every day. She also got a perfume bottle with the flower still inside and a smell for which I swoon.I don't share my girlfriend's affinity towards spending time in clothes shops, especially one specialising in female clothes, yet I found myself enjoying the beach/Polynesian aesthetic of Nomadi.The name of the shop, Nomadi, resonated with my knowledge of Italian. Nomadi in Italian means nomad, meaning one who likes to travel alone. That lone-wolf connotation juxtaposed with Pacific Island aesthetic drifted me away. I found myself onboard a catamaran sailing on the tranquil ocean scene, peaceful and sentimental, with my ears pleased by the bop of water on the hull. In reality, the beach is about a 2 minute walk away, but I found its shoreline lapping to the doorway of Nomadi.Both of us were happy to meet the friendly staff at Nomadi and will visit again on our next trip to the Sunshine Coast.
