Yes staff can be overwhelmed and at times difficult to find but you know what Big W is not a high end department store it is a mass retailer where you do it all yourself. Browse, select item and purchase. I was there for nearly an hour today browsing and buying for Christmas. Books, toys, kids clothes, toiletry gift sets, etc. During lockdown I also placed a couple of online orders that were delivered in a reasonable time frame considering the backlog the delivery services have. Big W has it all and overall shopping there is always a pleasure.

Absolutely disgusting.This move to ‘paper bags’ is the biggest con out. The bags are tiny and I mean tiny. They cost 40cents. Go into Big W, look at the disgusting bags and see how little of what they sell you can fit in it. Nothing. I bought pillows and bedding and either you need to buy a half a dozen bags (hilarious they are trying to sell this as caring for the environment when it’s anything but) just to carry this, compared to the old huge plastic bags they used to sell. Or wander through other stores with loose goods in a trolley: classy and a way to get you watched as if you are stealing things.Common sense has flown out the window.

I gave it 3 stars because I was asked to open my bag upon leaving and I object to the assumption that I may have stolen something. This destroyed any pleasure I may have gained from shopping in your store and I won't be back. Big W, if I was going to steal something it'd be from somewhere worth the risk - like Tiffany's. I refuse to enter any shop where it's assumed I may have stolen something. Get over yourself

First visit to this Big W, and totally impressed. The Store feels very spacious, very tidy. The staff in the Service desk, the guy at the door, even the staff we passed on the floor, were all very friendly, made eye contact, and smiled. We live in the CBD, but it’s a Big W Id definitely visit again.

BIG W Southland is a very big store - neat & tidy with everything you need in home supply & heaps of fashion clothes -- kids toys & clothes & the book reading material is well stacked with literature and novels & ART etc... - the Jewellery & handbags.,.BIG W is one of the always cheaper & good for your dollar than other stores of the same ..,.
