Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame & Outback Heritage Centre
Wow.. we planned on just doing the self guided tour of the museum but decided on the full experience at the last minute. And it was worth every cent. We toured the museum for about 2 hours, then watched a movie about the stock horse that were sent to war. Then we watched the live show which gives a comprehensive overview of training horses and dogs who work the livestock. We loved it..

Fantastic place to visit. Pays homage to the pioneering stockman of our great country. You will get an ipod with headphones, that will give you all the information that you need as you wander through at your own pace. The movie in the imax type theatre is excellent and the staff are professional, helpful and really nice.

The information was great again, and there was lots of history but using the iPods and headphones was a little difficult trying to sync it all ... wasn't really sure when it was supposed to start and stop and what direction we should be going in. 5 stars minus 1 star for ipods

arrived late unfortunately , so couldn't stay too long. closes at 4pm. Definately worth visiting while in Longreach . Copious amounts of history. given a phone and headphones and sent inside. phone is loaded with stories that correspond with the section you are in. . lots to take in , lots to see and listen to. I loved it. . cafe wasn't open but little gift shop with reasonably priced items on the way out . Disabled access. Huge area of free parking but very little shade to leave the dogs in the car for those travelling with furbabies . Very clean and staff were knowledgeable about museum and the area in general. I'd go back for a second look if I got the chance!

This is a great attraction to the town, thoroughly enjoyed this visit . Information is provided via audio / headphones (which are included in the entry price) Presented in a really easy format where you can listen to what you want to , skip over what you don't want to listen to. Plenty of things displayed to go with the audio , and few interactive displays . Was great to hear all the stories from everyone ~ station owners down to camp cook(Didn't do the Stockman show as we arrived a bit late for it . Book in advance if you want to make sure you don't miss out)

This is one of the great places to spend quality time with family. I'm learning so much about the country lifestyle and the hard work from the past till now. Btw the gallery next from the main building is great.

This place was super. Loved it all. Staff very friendly. Clean and modern building. Great Cafe and shop. Its a must to visit. Highly recommend.

Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame & Outback Heritage Centre
Highlights of our visit included the cinematic experience, a short 20 minute film showing the history of our stockmen and women and their importance in our history.This was followed by a live show that was both educational and entertaining. Really enjoyed the chance to pat the bull and have our photo taken at the end.Finally, the museum tour is self guided with audio so everyone can go through at their own pace.The Stockmans Hall of Fame is an absolute winner and a tick off our Qld Outback bucket list.

This place is amazing and the way they have done it is a 10/10 from us. Normally not our sort of thing but we thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. Put it on your ‘to do’ list!
