Capital S.M.A.R.T Repairs Mitcham

Hi All ,Recently i had my Toyota Hilux N 70 repaired ,which was carried out at Mitcham work .The Hilux was taken to Hallam work shop for inspection in melbourne.They informed me that the repairs where to big for them to do, and there work shop wasn't capable to carry out the job. The vehilce was involved in a front impact located to the passenger side of the ARB bull bar which is fitted to Hilux.The front bar had been bent on the under side of hoop located on bar , head light broken , front Guard damaged.The bullbar was hit on the angle from a lady pulling out in front of me while driving through a roundaboutthe front of the vehilce was pushed across with about 30mm hanging out of the other side of driver guard.After the repairs where fixed i was ask to pick up HiluxI ask the man why wasn't the front bar replaced , his reply was that there was nothing wrong with ,I was quite upset that they just filled the bull bar with body filler and painted it .I said surely the front bars lost its structural integrity.he then reply to me that it was only out by 3 mm .The vehicle is used for work and also does a few camping trips throughout the summer bit worried about winching of the front of it now from the front impact.After leaving site and arrived home i had a good look at the vehicle I notice that where the new guard was replaced, the paint and the lower door trim seal area was see through and transparent.I have since contacted our insurer, And asked for an assessor to come an assister repairs.I found the repairer to be quite rude and the quality of workmanship to my understanding looks like it's just been pushed through quickly .To top it off, I've had the vehicle now for 2 weeks in since pairs and gave its 1st wash, I was using a pressure washing on front bar as I normally do to remove the bugs and all the paint has fallen off where the repairs where, Note to self don't paint powder coated bullbars....Not too sure this is normal practice.Capital smart seem to be a reputable company and I am not too sure why they would have done this .You can feel my frustration as we pay for insurance to have a vehicles insured and repaired properly.I hope other people have better experiences with them than I did.

Stunning work. Not only did they make safe our bumper, which wasn't part of the insured repair, but they delivered the car to us at home. Incredible. The kind of service my grandparents would have offered: anything worth doing...

Body work repairs and respray on vehicle were very good however they rushed the job in 3 days and the vehicle was not fixed correctly. Vehicle still needs to be fixed elsewhere with broken rack and wheel alignment needed. Don’t know how you would miss such an obvious and dangerous issue.

Absolute nightmare!After having my car booked in here for a bumper respray, I received my car 5 days later, with the bumper a completely different red to the rest of my car, with my taillights re-installed incorrectly, causing condensation to build up in them, and part of my $600 flow designs splitter damaged.I then took the car back to Bentleigh SMART on Thursday the 24th of March, to which they agreed the colour was completely different, and said it wouldn't take long as all Mitcham needed to do was respray the bumper the correct 'Tornado Red'.A week later with no update whatsoever, we were told it would take a while because 'its a hard colour to match' and given no guarantee it would be the correct colour this time. I didn't get my car back for over a week and a half.When the car was towed back to my house, the taillights had once again been re-installed unevenly with the left side sitting flush but the right side not, part of the stock valance is now stained white, and the wire for my exhaust valve left dangling as it was not re-installed correctly in the bumper!So after not having my car for almost 3 weeks, I now have to re-cable my exhaust valves, re-install my taillights, and order replacement parts for my splitter!If you value your car in the slightest, do not go here, as they clearly do not care.

Car was fixed all right... but I can't understand why they are so stingy in offering a drop off. Did not get a drop off when I dropped my car or even when I returned my loan car to Hertz...all you have to do is to charge my insurance company... nearly every repair business offers this...

they have done excellent work and everything has done perfectly without any errors. highly recommend

Great experience with S.M.A.R.T repairs. Friendly and super professional. Went through SMART as part of an insurance repair on my Forester and then went back for some additional work. Couldn’t fault the team here, super quick turnaround with the work completed and especially exceptional service with a smile from the Manager. Would recommend.

Accident repair of left hand side of Kluger finished in less than half the predicted time which means we have our car well in time for our family holiday.Thank you Jeffrey and the team!!

Had a great experience here.The repairs were done very well.Jeff made sure I was constantly kept up to date with the repair progress.However, disconnecting the dashcams (both times I've been there) is a little questionable (even though I know you didn't drive it out), and even if there's a reason for it, please connect it back up afterwards!
