Myall River Camp
Listen up, all you camping enthusiasts, because I'm about to spill the beans on Myall Camp Ground in NSW - the camping spot that's got it all (except for Wi-Fi, but who needs that when you've got nature, right?).Let's start with the location. Myall Camp Ground is nestled in the Myall Lakes National Park, which means you're surrounded by some seriously stunning scenery. From the crystal-clear lakes to the towering eucalyptus trees, this place is a nature lover's paradise. But let's not forget about the activities. Myall Camp Ground has got something for everyone. If you're feeling adventurous, you can go kayaking, fishing, or even take a dip in the lake (just watch out for the friendly resident pelicans). And if you're feeling lazy (no shame in that game), you can just kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet. Now, let's talk about the facilities. Myall Camp Ground has got everything you need for a comfortable camping experience. There are BBQs, picnic tables, and even a playground for the kiddos. And if you're feeling particularly fancy, there are hot showers (which, let's be real, are a game-changer when it comes to camping). But perhaps the best part of Myall Camp Ground is the wildlife. This place is teeming with all sorts of critters, from kangaroos to possums to some rather vocal kookaburras. Just be sure to keep your food locked up tight, or you might end up sharing your dinner with some furry (or feathered) friends. So there you have it, folks. If you're looking for a camping spot that's got it all, Myall Camp Ground is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared to say goodbye to your phone signal (but trust me, it's worth it).

The location was lovely. We went as a family of 4 with 2 young children age 10 and 2. Our stay was 3 days and 2 nights. Our next door campsite was located next to younger 20 year old adults who were loud and ready to party. In fact they were heavily intoxicated and decided to do happy laps speeding in their Ute around the camp site. Which was very distressing as a parent. We notified the camp site Manager who advise they would come to see what was going on but …hours later no one.The same night - SaturdayMusic was being played like there was a rave at the campsite.Think this place is more suitable for party teens and NOT FAMIlY.

Had an incredible time with my partner over a few days! We stayed in the kookaburra glamping tent and was blown away! Being so close to the river definitely had its perks with fun paddle board rides and picturesque sunsets. Didn’t want to leave and will definitely be returning for a few extra days! :)

We had an amazing stay for Australia Day long weekend.Such a great spot for kids to swim in the river. huge sites and a quick walk to the water.Water station easy and many taps. Toilet facilities kept clean and stocked up on toilet paper. We have a wash down set up so no showers was fine for us. Only thing the place is missing is a shower to rince off near the river (would make a world of difference just to get the salt off)We got to see some wild life as a dingo would roam around at night and a Goanna through the daytime. Kids fished in the river and caught some fish.Even being Australia Day there were some groups a little rowdy but still very respectful and turned music and noise down once it got later. Was great place as a family. Going to make it an annual camp trip!

Booked here and was given a camp-site number only to be changed upon arrival. Is expensive unless you need a boat ramp for launching your tinny. Great for families and kids with kayaks. Camp sites are tight leaving you on top of one another. Fires allowed but need to keep grounds clean, has enviro drop toilets but hard to locate drinking water and no showers. Understand it is called off grid" but price should reflect this if not offering such facilities. Will bypass next time in search of more off grid options."

Just spent a glorious week at the camp in the kookaburra glamping tent. It was such a unique and magical place - we were genuinely sad to leave. Every comfort has been considered and really couldn’t think of anything that would make it better. As others have mentioned, the peace of the river, the local wildlife (lizards, dolphins, birds and a resident dingo) and the natural beauty of the place made it a holiday we won’t forget for a long time. Just the soothing balm we needed after a busy year.

We are a Sydney (Northern Beaches based family of 5) and have holidayed in this area of the Myall Coast for many years. We have rented apartments, houses, hotels and caravans but we have never camped and certainly never glamped in the area before. We booked the Koala Tent for the Anzac Day LWE 2023.We had the most incredible time, and loved our Koala Glampsite which slept the 5 of us comfortably and we could have had one more adult and still been comfortable. The layout worked well with a King, Queen and two full sized bunk beds. The kitchenette is really a kitchen without an oven and everything thought of in terms of providing a kitchen equiped to cook and provide full family meals. I loved the country style deep sink for washing up too (obviously no dishwasher). The lighting, solar powered USB ports by each bed and the furnishing and decorating of the tent was stunning. We just loved the feeling of sitting on the deck each morning feeling like we were over the river. Then on the third morning, the coffee van man turned up. Coffee was amazing and a nice treat to save a coffee run (only 10 mins) back into town.Leave your hairdryer at home. Bring your good USB speaker, guitars, definitely a SUP or Kayak and we also had our tinny tied up out the front for 3 days after an easy launch from the main campsite beach.Listen to the dingo's howl at night, throw a fishing line or crabpot out, enjoy the birdlife and don't be alarmed if you think you can hear dolphins surfacing and breathing at night. It's dolphins. We can only praise the owners for their inspiration and thank them for creating a little glamping paradise on the stunning Myall River.Thank you Maree for being such a fantastic host. You made all the difference just being around to help if we needed something like more firewood. Great hospitality and a wonderful LWE for a busy Sydney family.Mandy, Northern Beaches Sydney

My husband and I stayed here with a group of friends on the weekend, on one of their riverfront campsites! We were blown away with the incredible view from our site (site 17)The river is beautiful to swim in and to do a bit of fishing! We were even lucky enough to see 2 dolphins swim by as the sun was setting! It would be amazing if the campsite had some showers and a bbq area but other than that - it was fantastic! We will definitely be back!!Just a warning for anyone travelling with children - nowhere on their website / emails or onsite have any signs that mention there are dingos around! The first night we heard howling in the distance, the second night we heard a lot of snarling sounds and found our rubbish bin torn apart in the morning. On the morning that we were due to leave my husband walked to the toilets around 5:30am and mentioned that when he turned around, he was being stalked by 3 dingos. Although I wouldn’t let this deter you from your stay - it is a little concerning that there are no warnings around given a lot of families would camp here

The Bowerbird tiny house was so comfy and everything that makes a holiday. We loved relaxing by the camp fire every night and having BBQs. The shower was amazing and always hot. It was great to sit and watch the wildlife and hear the possums rustling outside at night. So close to the beach, National Park. What more can you want to get away from the city.Thank you Maree and Mac for a holiday to remember. We will be back and we will be telling friends too.

We stayed in jan 2023. Had such a lovely time. The campground is very spacious and there’s plenty of room between campers. Composite toilets are very well maintained. The campground is situated right on the river and it’s a beautiful place for anyone to visit - we especially loved it for our young family. Will definitely be back :)
