Daylesford Glamping

Done lots of camping, sleeping in a tent and roughing it outdoors; lots of fun. So we thought we’d give Glamping in Daylesford a try. Sounds a bit more luxurious and romantic…… WRONG. Start with the positives, park attendant seemed like a nice bloke, bed was reasonably comfortable and the platter on arrival (cost us an extra $50) was nice. Now the negatives, the Yurt was filthy and covered with mould and smelt, it was dusty with cob webs everywhere, mat on floor was a trip hazard and not vacuumed, tea/coffee stains on cupboards. The Amenities block was completely covered with smelly mould, I’d be very surprised if it is healthy and safe to use. The Yurt was $243 for night and $50 for the platter; way over priced. Can I suggest that you call your current Glamping experience what it is, a bed in a tent? It’s not a Glamping experience it’s a Dirty Yurty experience. Tourism relies repeat customers and referrals, we won’t return nor refer anyone we know.
