I went to Burley Strength 6 Years ago and got some coaching from John. I returned after not lifting for about 5 years due to family commitments and did the powerlifting workshop. Fantastic, can't wait to put into practice what I took away and get back to and beyond my old PBs. Great gym with top-end gear for powerlifting. John is VERY knowledgeable about lifting and life.Recommend!

I was totally impressed with the overall execution of the one day Powerlifting Workshop run by John. From the very first welcome email to the Video modules that was sent to us in a timely manner prior to the day, the reminders, the actual workshop content, the overall presentation was perfect. Very professional and i love John's overall approach about strength training - no fuss no nonsense no arrogance

Use to train under Coach Sherro who was always super accommodating and supportive to his lifters and members. The gym environment had to be the best in Canberra, gym members too were always extremely friendly and made you feel as apart of a family or a community rather than just another 'gym member'Wish I was still living back in Canberra as training at this gym was always the highlight of my day

Awesome gym. Great selection of unique equipment that you won't find anywhere else. Checked it out in between events at ACT'S strongest and I was very impressed. If you are a strongman/powerlifter, this is where you belong.
