What an amazing service! Thanks Cam, Lee and Sandy. Custom made desk has come up just great. Great finish and easy installation. The stone top is very nice. Cameron was very considerate in seeking to source the fossilized stone I was after but in the end his recommendation of Carrara marble was very good. Fittings for cable management were added on request and they are very good quality indeed. Thanks to Cam and the team for bespoke furniture and great service. Highly recommend.I should have taken a photo before I put all my work stuff on the desk but I hope you get the idea withe the photo I have posted.

Makimaki are masters of furniture design! We commissioned the company to design and make a mid century modern inspired, custom made oak and rattan wall unit and a marble top kitchen trolley. The designs were beautifully considered and emailed for our feedback. The furniture items exceeded our expectations and are of the highest quality. Communication with Cameron and Nicol was very professional and prompt.I highly recommend Makimaki for bespoke and quality furniture design and creation.

When Cam asked if I would wouldn't mind writing a review for him, I have to say that I was more than happy to respond.Initially, I was hesitant in engaging his services, since, as with anyone new, I wasn't sure of what outcome I might get, & since I was commissioning three pieces of furniture, it was a commitment I wanted to be confident in.I needn't have worried.Cam is the real deal in quality craftsmanship when it comes to furniture making.Not only that, but Cam engaged me in every step of the process, communicating deeply in the design, selection, & sourcing of the best & most appropriate timbers to suit my style, taste, & the finish that I had envisioned, the selection of the appropriate stain, & the discussion of all attendant minutia of all & any details that I wished to discuss & get clarity with to ensure that the finished product was as I saw it in my mind's eye.And he certainly didn't disappoint. To date, I'd say that the three pieces that he made me are the finest pieces of furniture in my home, & I'm very proud & happy to display them in my lounge room.Additionally, the attention that he & his assistant took in delivering & installing them into my house, with such loving care for his finely crafted creations was impressive, & only further deepened my regard for the attention to detail & care that I've come to regard as Cam's trademark.I'll certainly be engaging Cam's services again for any future pieces that I may wish for my home, as I've come to admire & respect his work.

We asked Cameron to make us a custom dining table, the quality of the craftsmanship was truly exceptional and far exceeded our expectations. We are so happy with the table we are discussing having further pieces made.

After several months of searching and not being able to find what we were looking for, we contacted makimaki to obtain a quote on our desk concept (a dual workstation with 2x draws and 1x shelf). With a large home office to fill (ordinarily a media room), we wanted something that would span approximately three metres in length to align with our existing library unit, which is on the opposite wall.The initial contact and quote stages with Cameron were great, and we particularly liked that he took the time to drive out to our house to look at the space prior to providing a quote. The quote itself was straightforward with a number of pricing options provided (depending on chosen timber type) and a few sketches of the desk design. This really helped us to visualise what we were going to receive as a finished product.Happy with the price and what we saw, we pressed go. Approximately 4 weeks later, our desk was ready to be delivered. Our desk was delivered this morning and we're very happy with it. It's exactly what we had envisaged, is very well made, and will make working from home a much more enjoyable experience.I'd like to thank Cam and the team at makimaki for taking on our job and providing such an excellent service and finished product. After our experience, I'm pretty sure it won't be the last piece of custom made furniture we add to our home.Gail & Luke
