I love the food at MoneyPenny. It is delicious and the service is generally great. We have been several times before, specifically for the delicious fresh apple cocktails and the great drinks menu. Unfortunately, on tonight’s occasion, the server (blonde girl with glasses) told us she was unsure if there was room, and saw we waited, and 10 minutes later, she came around and said “I said there was no room”. I have never felt more disrespected and lied to; all we wanted was a table and we would’ve happily walked away if this was appropriately communicated to us. It is very disappointing, and no doubt we will go again, but hopefully we won’t see her.

Can highly recommend this place. Fantastic food, the most delicious cocktails, perfect location and the staff were awesome. It was a great reminder of what hospitality should be Thanks so much Money Penny for a great birthday lunch experience

This place is so stinkin cute and fun.We enjoyed our lunch today. Tapas are great, hubby enjoyed his gumbo and his a big picky American.Wish we weren't 3hrs from here would visit more often.Staff are lovely. Feel like I am in a giant disco ball.

Stopped here for lunch on Saturday, I ordered the small plate of Cajun crumbed mushrooms and was very disappointed, the mushrooms were very watery, almost like they had been par cooked in water and there was no taste of any Cajun spice. Fran had the chicken wings and they were not good, they had a strange taste to them and were definitely undercooked and the BBQ sauce was out of a bottle.Shame really because this place has so many good reviews.Unfortunately I can not recommend here for lunch.Money penny has responded to my review and has brushed it under the carpet, as expected, and shows the complete arrogance of this company as to the standard of its food and quality control for its customers.Never mind, I will not be going back and hope other customers have a better experience that we had and not waste your money as we did.

Great atmosphere - very relaxing and not too loud. Great place for a night of drinks and chatting to friends. I’ve rated it 4/5 as the only downside we’re the serving sizes for food and some of the dishes were pretty mediocre for the price point. Staff were friendly and very accomodating.

I booked online in advance and we were seated to a booth.The dishes were delicious to our surprise given the vast number of items on the menu. (Generally speaking when a place has too many items on the menu the quality goes down but this place was NOT the case. )There's alot of old vintage coasters on the table which kept us entertained reading them and trying to guess the age of them.

Beautiful retro styled place! They have a nice list of craft beers, ciders and cocktails. The pizzas I can highly recommend and they have dishes to share from all over world.

Had a lovely lunch here ..salt and pepper squid and prawn buns ..even though it says small they are actual good size portions .. wheelchair accessible restaurant

Absolutely love this gorgeous waterfront bar and restaurant. I’ve recently moved to Newcastle from Sydney and have been back 3 times just for the Prawn Bao’s… very generous servings and the large glass of Pinot was a perfect complement.The staff are so friendly and it’s dog friendly…winner all round!
