Yeerung Gorge

Unfortunately, I can't give zero rating as the place doesn't worth even to be mentioned. First you have to drive on an unsealed road for more the 7 km. When you get there, there is no information about what to expect! Or how far the walk and how difficult. Although, it's only about 600 Meyers the path is really bad and near the end it's very steep and difficult to negotiate. The worst is when you get there and there is nothing to look at except a pond of dirty water swarming with masquetos. In fact, if you look at the pictures people put on Google there is nothing to see and that is how it is. Don't bother going as there are more breath taking places, to mention one is the little River gorge (whatever you do don't miss this one).

Wouldn't drive there just see the Gorge but if youre out there having a look around worth the short walk down there

Steep but short walk to bottom of gorge. Pretty without be spectacular

Nice walk and great views

A fairly well formed track through different plant communities to a deep wet gorge. At the top of the gorge, the track becomes a steep and difficult scramble in wet conditions.

Short walk with a bit of a steep scramble down at the end to a peaceful spot. The still black water was chiming with frogs on the day I visited. Access to the site is 4wd tracks from either Old Coast Rd or E.Yeering track.

Nice quiet spot

Amazing deeply incised gorge 600m from the carpark. In April, it was so still down at the river, kind of eerie and yet not scary. On the steep climb down to the gorge base, look out for the tree on the lhs with its orange/yellow trunk.

Nice easy walk to the gorge but a really step decent at the end. Beautiful spot for a break.
