The Roving Artisan

So far, I’ve attended two exceptional workshops led by Jess. A patient, calm and engaging instructor. I’ve produced two gorgeous weaves under her guidance. They are so gorgeous, my Mother (aware of my lack of crafty-talents) still doesn’t believe I created them! Highly recommended

Such a wonderful and relaxing experience; and such a nice way to spend with friends and family, creative or not. Jess is a natural teacher and helped me create a beautiful weave for my daughter, and has now got me very keen to do another. Would highly recommend.

Deciding that 2020 was the year to get crafty because something good has to emerge from this year, I did a weaving workshop with Jess from The Roving Artisan.Firstly she made the process so lovely and easy that I can see why people develop weaver-fever! A beautiful collection of local made and dyed yarns & you are able to buy the whole kit if you want to keep working outside of the workshop time.But it was her patience and professionalism that most impressed. No matter if your creative brain melts down, Jess is always happy to model practice, assist and advise you in your efforts.So at the end of the few hours, I had my own piece to take home and display.I loved it so much, I’ve got a group of friends together for another workshop next month.It’s not often you get the confidence to display your work after just a few hours but Jess’ workshops will do exactly that.Definitely recommend you do it!
