Historical and great scenery

Even though it's a rainy day, the cruise still goes on. We assembled at ticket counter so that the skipper could brief us 1st. They're only 6 of us in the boat. Water is choppy going out to sea and it was just like riding roller coaster. We get a lot of historical facts on the water of Tasmania where the rocks are, info on different areas in Hobart, who discover the waterway. We went to salmon fish rearing in the waters too. At the Ironpot lighthouse, the swell were so high about 2 to 3mtrs high, so we stayed there for short while. Going back were better. The sea were smoother. We returned with valuable knowledge back on land. Every encounter is a worthy experience.

Prime spot to paddle around on a kayak. Just be weary, there's lots of birds so the closer you get, the smellier it is!

A boat ride up the Derwent. Pilot Ben was great and full of information and jokes. Interesting points and knowledge of the area.Highly recommend
