Stirling District Kindergarten

We experienced both Stirling kindergartens in 2021 and had the wonderful experience of being at Stirling District Kindy for the second half of the year. This is the Stirling Kindy you want to be at.I cannot recommend Stirling District Kindy highly enough. The educators are truly exceptional and transformed my sons learning environment into a rich educational experience where his interest in inquiry based learning was encouraged, and celebrated.The learning areas both indoor and outdoors offer inviting opportunities for social development and play, which are scaffolded by the kind and caring teachers who know how to make the learning environment successful for each child as they did for mine. They will be inspired and allowed to imagine, hypothesize, wonder, learn, play and develop friendships. Did I mention they do bush kindy in term 2 and 3 at Belair National Park!The change in my son at this kindy was incredible. The amazing teachers helped him to feel positive and happy about all aspects of kindy.From a practical point of view, the parking is so easy. There is the playground car park and multiple street parks and I’ve never had trouble parking or getting in and out. (no double parking!) And it also sets up the opportunities for play dates after kindy.They also have only 2 set groups for kindy kids and the same teachers each day which helped my son make friends and settle more easily as the same group of kids attend both days each week. It made for excellent continuity having the same teachers each day, as they all know the kids so well and this was also a huge positive for my son.The learning spaces are much larger than you might imagine from driving past and each area is beautifully and carefully set up to offer any type of play a child could want. I definitely recommend attending playgroup to visit the space and see for yourself- as I’m sure, straight away you would see what a wonderful environment it is and it is the best choice for Kindy in Stirling.The communication between parents and teachers is excellent and the private Facebook group is always updated every day, if not multiple times a day with photos and videos of the learning and playing happening that day, and any important info that parents need to know. You are in the loop and a welcome part of the kindy community.As a teacher myself, and this being my third child to go to kindy, I am so thankful we moved to Stirling District kindy and only wish we had started the year with them also.Highly highly recommend them!

I remember when I was 2 years old in kindergarten 2010
