Fernleigh Track
Old coalmine railway track now repurposed as a bike and walking track. Some track remains while the highlights are the cuttings and long oval shaped tunnel.Can get busy at weekends but most cyclist and pedestrians are respectful of each other.

Lovely track with picturistic views, especially the historic tunnel which is a great feature for the track. However, the safety of the track is a real concern as a lot of cyclists are using this place as a race track. They just flying pass you all the time and this could cause serious consequences as this is a shared track for both pedestrians and cyclists. So be careful out there.

12.7km ride, gentle gradient changes, tarmac surface, rail tunnel near the start at Adamstown, some residual rail lines, interesting heritage signage, good km measuring posts, lovely bell birdsong near the Belmont end. Nice ride.

Did the track from Adamstown to Belmont by bike with my 78 yo mother. All good and she loved it.

Fantastic track for cyclists, families and walkers. Please be aware of riders in lycra who don't signal, speed and are a generally using the track for speed trials.

Great for walking, riding or scootering. Just remember share the track, and wear a helmet.

Fantastic (easy) 30km out and back ride fully paved ride for the whole family. Set on/alongside a disused/repurposed rail track pretty much through nature which you can see in the photos. Best bring water and snacks. Plenty of places to stop to eat & drink (ie bench seats not shops).

Great walking, riding, running path. Rain has recently deteriorated some of the track which they are in the process of fixing. Exploration of trails off the track are on the to do list with the Great North Walk offshoot and the little dam. Plenty to see and explore...

Great track to go for a bike ride, there's no traffic except for the 4 places where there is gaps for roads to go pass, the place is also deserted after dark
