About the Business

Kids Aquatic Survival School : Swim > Float > Survive | KASS deliver Australia's safest, most effective, accelerated aquatic survival program for non verbal infants and young children. Our program focuses on aquatic survival skills targeted to children aged 6 months to 6 years. The Survival skills are designed to form a layer of protection in the prevention against drowning. The ability to swim a few feet in the water is not necessarily going to save the child in an emergency situation. No child is drown-proof, and nothing replaces supervision or restricting access to water, however teaching a child to float could give the child, parents or emergency services those crucial seconds or minutes which could prevent further tragedy.

My 2 older boys both completed survival and swimming lessons with KASS. Now my 3 yr old daughter has just completed survival and has progressed onto transition lessons. I have nothing except super positive things to say about our experience. All my kids have confidence in the water and also safety awareness which is so important. All the instructors are friendly and enthusiastic. What i really love about Kass is the friendly, family environment. Keep up the great work.

Lauren and her team at KASS Quinns Rocks are amazing and I couldn't recommend them enough. I've had both my children do the survival lessons with them and move up from there. I was and still am amazed that they learn to float and swim on their own. I started my son first at about 20 months and he'd learnt survival by the time he was 2 this was after 6 months of other normal swimming lessons which were more like water play. I did not hesitate to start my daughter around 18 months of age. My son is in Kindy now and is learning freestyle with the breathing and all. He swims better than I do and although our pool is fenced and kids always need to be watched around water it give me peace of mind that they can float and find the edge of the pool to climb out. Thanks KASS ❤️

Amazing experience. Have had two children go through the program and soon will have a third. I can't rate it highly enough, I'd give it a 20 out of 10 if I could. You won't regret it!

Both of my babies have learnt how to not only swim & be comfortable in the water but to be safe, not panic & survive if they were to accidentally fall into water, thanks to Lauren & her team at Quinns Rocks KASS.This entire program is incredible & the skills our children have learnt are life saving and an absolute necessity!I could not recommend them enough, the teachers are amazing & the techniques they use are so impressive!

Both of my kids have done survival swimming with Lauren and I can't speak highly enough of her and her team of instructors. My kids learnt invaluable swimming and survival skills and have become strong swimmers who love being in the water. Whenever we go on holiday, people stop to ask me how my kids can swim so well, and with so much confidence. I cannot recommend KASS Quinns Rocks highly enough! I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could!

If you haven’t already, you definitely need to get your kids booked in with Lauren and the team at KASS! I have been going to swimming lessons with Lauren for over 7 months now, and it has been the best thing we have done for our daughter! We started off with the survival course when my daughter was 17 months old, and now our daughter can float at any moment in the water, can jump in and swim to the edge of the pool! She is so confident in the water now and she is not even 2 yet! Lauren is amazing at what she does, so passionate and truly cares about the safety of kids in the water! Thank you!!

Very different to the traditional state swimming pool lessons. The difference is what makes it so incredible.Yes it is more expensive but worth every cent.It is one on one and just unbelievable at how effective their strategies are at teaching survival swimming skills.Thank you to Lauren and jasmineSarah walton and family

We passed! My 2.5 year old completed his survival swim in approx 8 weeks (with a 3 week holiday in the middle). I knew before I even had kids this was something I wanted to do; as I was astonished at the number of children who drown each year in Australia. I was torn though as you hear about them throwing them in, traumatizing them (which doesn't happen btw) and it was very much not how I parent my children. I continued to research, read articles, understand the psychology and natural reflexes. I also spoke to mums who had put their children through the program for first hand accounts. Still something was telling me I needed to do this especially since I have had a newborn. I decided to go ahead even though it was alot more expensive then normal lessons. However, that said, normal lessons can go on for years and years to be competent in swimming. Also competency in swimming does not necessarily mean competent in survival/problem solving skills. From the start Lauren has explained the whole process and I have understood what is going on for my child and how I can best support him. Yes he cried a couple of days at the starr which was very hard but the crying was also due to him having a strong attachment to me...which can only be positive. It took three weeks of him calling out for me (not so much distressed but just hoping that I would get him and yes it was hard not to respond). Week 4 he was a different child, literally like the flip of a switch he was fully enjoying it and crying when he had to come out! Shout out to Dilly too for her time and the amazing support she gave us in the family lesson. I would highly recommend getting in the water with your child and understanding the process. We had a three week holiday in which we swam daily. Due to this support i was able to continue to guide him in maintaining his skills and he actually came back to his lessons confident and still able to use his them. It is obviously a commitment as you have to attend 10 mins a day for the weekdays but 8 weeks of your life to potentially save your child's life is nothing. Highly recommend and if you are still unsure feel free to message me and I'll share my experience. Thanks Lauren, Dilly and Roxy. We will be back with Sami :)

Best decision ever made to enrol my son 15 months ago...wish I had done it earlier...he's always loved the water and not afraid which was his worst enemy...now I know he doesn't have to rely falsely on floats to save his life....vigilance is still the key of course!! But the instructors are all soo professional and so they understand the kids...keep up the good work gals!!!
