I was a little surprised by the poor reviews of this outlet, although I didn't purchase any cooked product which appears to be the crux of many complaints. Prawns (large, unfrozen from the evening trawl before), flake, blackfish, jew, flathead and sweetlip all were well received, and with the exception of the sweetlip all locally sourced. Prices were reasonable relative to product quality.

I'd love to be able to review the food however we never had the chance to order. After waiting in line for 15 minutes and seeing the 10 others in front of us not yet surved we decided to leave. I can't understand how service was so slow? It seemed they were taking an order, cooking it, and then taking another order.

Price of chips were absolutely ridiculous, and to top it off they couldn’t even fill up the container. It was $5 for essentially 2 handfuls of chips. Complete rip off.#notcheapaschips

Love getting out to Yamba around the summertime and this place has never let me down. Compliments to the young man with light stubble that served me, he made my experience much more enjoyable :)

I did read the reviews beforehand, but most of them are giving 1 star reviews when they didn't even eat or are notorious for giving bad reviews.I found the staff pleasant enough, got standard chips (as expected), prawns were very good, and the oysters were amazing.No, it wasn't the best seafood ever, but it was really good, had a lot of tasty elements, and actually was very fair value.I don't know if most people here expected a Sydney seafood restaurant type quality, if they were, they certainly wouldn't be paying as low as this.Anyway, I will be back. Oysters were the best I've had in a long while.

Disappointing - visiting Yamba and TWICE I have been in to buy seafood. First time, I walked out as the selection was terrible. Second time, much the same but did buy some prawns. They were described as ‘ medium kings’ - I’d describe them as ‘school’Won’t waste my time on a third attempt

Should have read the reviews it was over priced the only nice thing in the seafood for 2 meal was the calamari. The whiting was so small it looked like the chips and they forgot to put in the prawn cutlets.

Wish I'd read the reviews before going here.Potato cake was mushy and fish had way too many bones. Threw most of it out - . it was terribleCustomer service left a lot to be desired too.
