I've recently had my driveway done by Jackson Asphalt.THE GOOD:- I found everyone I dealt with to be extremely friendly and professional. The guys that did my earthworks were great, listened to my requests, made good suggestions, and did a terrific job. They did little things things as well that mayor. For instance I advised them they would hit a reticulation poly reticulation pipe and they could just rip it out and I would fix it up. They also bothered to tie off each end which was just a nice touch.Super happy with how the driveway came out. I didn't mind the look of the gravel driveway (but hated the dust and mud) and my only regret was I had not gone ahead with the job earlier.I can't restate enough that this whole company struck me as thoroughly professional.THE BADMy main gripe is the concrete edging. This is outsourced to another contractor and not done in house.I am reasonably disappointed in the job. A lot of edging is not finished off well, concrete cracks had started to appear within days, and lots of excess concrete left. This is also an issue as it sets solid and there is great difficulty in removing it. if someone had bothered getting a trowel when it was wet to separate it it would have been so much better. I get the impression that the team that did the concrete couldn't care less though as also evidenced that they cleaned their machine on my neighbours front curb and left concrete there too.- I also got Jacksons estimator to come back out and re-measure to confirm that the measurements were exact. However when the job finished there was a variance generated (apart from a. small extra amount I requested).This experience just takes the shine off the job somewhat. However I would still recommend Jacksons. Their pricing is fair and middle of the road. If you get edging just make sure that you watch the contractors thoroughly and don't let them leave until you are happy with the job.

We recently used Jackson Asphalt for some works in our Strata complex. Due to changing circumstances we changed the scope of work a few times which was never any trouble for Brad, Dexter and team. The guys on site were on time, and very professional. The quality level of the finished job was second to none, with even coming back to make sure everything was finished off perfect. Highly recommend Jackson Asphalt.
