About the Business
Kate Herren - Communications and Fundraising Coordinator - Trillion Trees Australia | LinkedIn | Experienced writer, editor and marketing professional with an exceptional eye for detail and the confidence to work in both print and online. I have extensive experience in both Australia and the UK, covering marketing, editorial, social media and events work.
Upon arrival in Australia in 2012, I was lucky enough to take on a varied role in the marketing team for Western Australia's largest community event, the Perth Royal Show. This role covered aspects of education, sponsorship and marketing to develop and deliver a family trail as part of the show's entertainment schedule.
My first venture into self employment came at the age of 25 when I co-founded Active Marketing & Design Ltd. My role as Marketing Director encompassed all aspects of new business development, copy writing and PR for a diverse portfolio of clients. I was an early adopter of social media back in 2007 and I developed training programmes in marketing, communications and social media for a variety of organisations including the University of East Anglia and Broadland Council Training Services.
Before founding Active Marketing & Design Ltd, I was Client Manager for a South Norfolk PR and Marketing Agency specialising in the rural sector.
I gained a 2:1 BSc (hons) Equine Science at University of the West of England (Hartpury College) and wrote my first class dissertation into the marketing of World Horse Welfare’s £2m visitor centre at Snetterton, which I went on to run after graduating. After this I sustained a continuing interest in the equestrian industry, contributing features to leading UK and Australian equestrian magazines and websites.
Specialties: Marketing, public relations, PR, event management, editing, copy writing, advertising, website management, blogs, social media, training, presentations, equestrian, rural | Learn more about Kate Herren's work experience, education, connections & more by visiting their profile on LinkedIn
