Lakes Cairns Resort

This resort is absolutely beautiful. Excellent location to town centre, esplanade and botanic gardens and airport. 4 pools, 2 onsite restaurants. Insider tip if you want private views over the botanic gardens from your balcony ask for apt 1748. This apartment is also newly refurbished. All new appliances. Great for bird watching. We loved our stay here.We will definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay - very quiet, comfortable and lots of room, great space for a vacation with kids. Lots of pools to chose from including beach pools that were always quiet and clean.We loved there was a lot of space including a private outdoor area we could eat and full laundry/ kitchen

As everyone who lives at the lakes would understanding parking is an absolute nightmare. Whenever I go to do the grocery shopping I will admit, I do park very temporarily in the no parking zone but will quickly relocate to the outside parking. My complaint is for a security contractor tonight grilling me over this fact, when I mentioned it's none of his business, he agreed but continued to abuse me further. I told him we all here pay very absorbent body corporate fees and that his imput should be reserved as it's better than myself parking here all night but he wouldn't have any of that.I'm frankly very peeved off, we need at least a 15 minute parking zone for people with groceries as I know for a fact having to walk them 100meters marathon with multiple grocery bags multiple times is not fun as well as being abused by an external contractor who doesn't have a say in that matter.

First time to cairns ,what a fantastic place to stay everything you could ask for needs more than 5⭐ would absolutely recommend this resort, can't wait for our next trip hereThanks

Stayed a week ago for 2 nights in a 2 bd apartment with my son. Very tired apartment. Furniture was very old, dated and uncomfortable. The sauna and gym were not in operation (no prior notice). The kitchen was very poorly equipped as others have mentioned. Beware - I literally forgot about 3 dishes in the sink (the rest of the kitchen and appt was spotless) and was charged for extra cleaning. I walked a mile to empty the trash and ensured I cleaned as I always do. You have to pay extra for pool towels... they treat you like you're in a cheap van park. Much better places to stay in Cairns for this price. Only upside was the swimming pools - which are lovely. Shame

Great place to stay. Some of the rooms are a little tired but still very clean. Other rooms have been renovated or updated recently. Some facilities are in need of repair which let it down slightly. Pools were on point, as was the AC.

House-sitting here for several weeks in a front 2 bedroom townhouse owned outright. For an older establishment the grounds, gardens, pools and community spaces are just kept up so damn well it's like being in an expensive American resort in Florida. Excellent security. You obviously get what you pay for in body corporate fees and it shows. Ide have no problem recommending this place

Stayed here with the kids and had the best holiday. The true highlight and reason to stay is the most gourmet Melbourne quality cafe hidden out the back. The manager Teagan made us feel so welcome and our tummy’s so happy. Could not recommend a stay (and eat) here more.

As two mature couples who have been friends for over 50 years, we stayed a week in a self catering apartment which included two rooms with king size beds. A small laundry and machine were included. The buildings are a bit tired" but the grounds and pools are still excellent. We had minimal interaction with staff and were left to our own devices which suited us. We did a mix of self catering

Rooms are okay but when we arrived there was a broken glass in the cupboard, a black hair in the bathtub, bathtub did not have a plug and the hairdryer blew up when it was put to medium.No staff on Saturday or Sunday and when it started raining the deck (that was dirty mind you) did not have appropriate drainage so the room was almost flooded if it wasn’t for the fact I had to quite literally go on my hands and knees to clear out the pipe.The pool is the only plus side and it’s clear that’s known as it is the only selling point
