The house received a complete cosmetic overhaul, transforming it into a modern open living space that was light, airy, and clean throughout. Shivin provided excellent design inputs and ensured flexibility throughout the project. DBD exceeded my expectations in every way.

Happy to save other people the misery of building with this reckless organisation who in my experience has no regard to client impact whatsoever.I signed with DBD (office in East Vic Park) at the end of 2020 for a double storey house. The only thing DBD have done well to date is send invoices for payment, that too for more than the amount stated in the house contracts. The MD will try to sell you grandeur plans and designs but in my experience but will not deliver anything. And do not believe the $0 price increase guarantee. He will promise clients the world to get them to sign-up and then hit them delays and prices increase while delivering the most appalling quality.At the end of August 2022, I was sent a $270,000 price increase on top of a ridiculous schedule extension (all blamed on the client of course). To date, I have already paid more than $83,000 for an invalid slab with improper site works, no soakwells, incorrect floor levels for some areas and missing waste plumbing. I have obviously rejected the stupid and ridiculous price increase and schedule delay and made a formal complaint to the DMIRS (Building and Energy) to intervene and deal with this mess.Sadly I'm not the only client to suffer in building with DBD. Numerous other clients have faced similar tragedies. The only thing he seems to progress are his personal house flipping projects, his gym projects and his commercial venture and the like, most probably with money received from clients for other works.Over the past months, I have been personally contacted by many people who have been asked by Shivin to pay upfront deposits of up to $20,000 before formal contract sign-off. It is ILLEGAL for him to request this. Please don't make any such payments.So much was promised on our project but to date, 27 months on, only the following has been done:* an invalid slab that was poured using the WRONG HOUSE plans, using plans that were rejected by the council. Site raking was not completed properly as there is considerable rubble still throughout the site block.* to date DBD has still not been able to submit the Building Permit application for council approval.* they provided fraudulent details of correspondence with councils and material orders.* home indemnity insurance was received more than a year after beginning work on site, placing me the client at risk if anything was too happen to DBD Development. On that note Managing Director has provided written correspondence saying that DBD Development was could and would go into bankruptcy.Looking forward to my complaint being heard in SAT.

Shivin and his team at DBD had been amazing to deal with throughout the entire building process. I was able to share my initial rough concept and ideas (and being listened to) that came to fruition. DBD was able to architecturally transform my narrow block of land into one beautiful home with amazing facade and living areas just the way I wanted, or I must say exceeded my expectations.I can say the whole process was an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Communication has been transparent and easy. Shivin and Team were always able to keep me in the loop. They are always there to explain and answer my questions and concerns. I really appreciated this effort and transparency.Received so many compliments from friends and family on how the house truly represents my taste, lifestyle and character. Its not often that most people get that warm fuzzy feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment these days. Fortunately, I can say that I do whenever I’m outside and a stranger will randomly slow down as they pass my home. If they do stop to chat I even get a comment or 2 on the design, colour scheme and finish. It all started from a picture to end at picture perfect.It was a slow start with a few hiccups here and there due to the demand for homes being built during the trying Covid times but once the ball got rolling there was no turning back and my project was pushed hard to get completed. In saying that a special shout out to thank Shivin for his patience and understanding as well as his team especially those that have worked behind the scenes at DBD to make this all possible.A special thank you and great appreciation to Amir who goes above and beyond to help even after your build is complete and to Farah who was there to guide us with choices and colours . These 2 special team members of DBD are few and far between. Thank you DBD for the beautiful home.

If Google gave an option I would definitely give this builder 0 instead of 1 star. Please do check Shonky Builders post on facebook before you proceed with DBD. Unprofessional, atrocious project planning, invalid construction are few of the key issues we have observed. Builder does not take any responsibility of delays of his poor planning instead passes blame to trades, Suppliers, his own staff and client. Keeps lowering specs and takes undue advantage of vulnerable clients.

Working with DBD was the best choice we could of made. From start to completion their customer service and organisation was amazing, and the finished product was exactly what we'd hoped for and more! Thanks Shivin
