Diamond Creek Fish & Chips

Placed online order and then rang shop directly to see if I could add on an additional item. Was hung up on 3 times, food arrived and was poor quality. Not an enjoyable meal made worse by rude staff.

There was absolutely no potato in the potato cakes. Everything was burnt and had an odd smell. We couldn’t eat it. It’s a shame, as we were really looking forwards to it. Whoever wrote authentic Greek fish and chips in the five star review is totally wrong. I think the place were sold to someone else. Everything was off basically. I wouldn’t recommend it when there are so many other great food options in Diamond Creek/ surrounding areas.

Smallest fish ever and so expensive batter was like keather and chips burnt and hard. See pic of whiting same size as teaspoon. We did use uber eats but 45 for two fish and chips it's cheaper to go out

Reviews say it all. Odd smell, odd colour, burnt. Do you actually have any care for the food you’re making for your customers? Not even edible, bought prawn crackers too and even they were stale and had to throw them out too. Future customers beware! This place is the worst fish and chip shop in Melbourne!

My partner just wanted a minimum of chips to go with his dinner. Was refused service as apparently they “don’t sell just chips on their own”. What a joke. They wonder why they have no customers on a Friday night and yellow tail has a line out the door.

Great friendly service. I had the King George Whiting, when ordering I was told repeatedly that it was a small fillet, but so glad I ordered it as it was delicious and well cooked, definitely not as big as a piece of flake, but big enough for dinner.

Burnt potato cakes, over cooked leathery flake. Classic example of a great fish and chip shop being bought from Greek owners and run into the ground. Worst in the area.

I will never go to this fish and chip shop again - the worst customer experience I have ever received and well overpriced.I ordered 7 potato cakes and received 2 but got charged for 7. Then the owner wouldn’t give me a refund and said come back tomorrow night and I can give you the refund then. I went back the next night (very inconvenient as it was Xmas eve) and said he’d cook me the extra 5 which I didn’t want now, I just wanted my refund. To which he replied “I don’t know the code to open the till”. Total liar and eventually after I refused to leave, he finally opened the till and gave me my refund.
