Whitlam Leisure Centre

An excellent venue for the leisure centre. My first time and I was very happy. I've enjoyed the afternoon with my parents. Hope the cost can be reduced for pensioners. A bit high for the pensioners $13.30 for 1 entry. In Canberra over 50 years old only $5.80 in the South of Canberra. If the cost is matching similar to the Canberra. Every time I visit my parents , I can take my parents to this leisure centre. Thank you for the service on Sunday 18th of June 2023.

A hidden gem! Great facility with awesome outdoor 50m laps pool. Warm indoor pools with leisure facilities for kids and adults with jets, bubbles etc. Sauna area requires booking three days in advance and is rather small. Overall, great centre!

It is very good 3 star rating is due to the sauna I would not class it as hey sauna just a infra.ray room that only heats up like a hot day.I see go in and out that quick it has no time to heat up anyway and The Gap at the bottom of the entrance door is ridiculous a cold draught blows in. I went in there once absolutely useless lasting 5 minutes and hopped out would not waste my time again

Worst gym so far. Pool area is very dirty spa and sauna is always full of people. Limited equipment with more customers. Rooms for classes are so boring but the trainers are amazing. Some Receptionist are very unprofessional they have no manners how to speak to non English speaking background people. Receptionists tones are very hush and rude. I cancelled my membership in 3 weeks lost 2 week’s advance I paid and I joined Crunch at Hoxton Park. Iam satisfied with the Facilities provided here.

The teachers and the swim classes are amazing, 10x points there!However, the older lady receptionist thinks that she runs the show there, she is extremely disrespectful and ignorant, she is unable to have a simple conversation with, every time i tried to speak with her she would rudely interrupt me before i finish what I had to say. She needs to learn some people skills and some customer service!I phoned to ask a simple question/ one time favour, she cut me off without even allowing me to proper explain the situation , then she said that she can not make that decision as she is obviously not the policy maker of the place which I totally appreciate, however i insisted for her to check with the coordinator, she then angrily asked me to wait on hold while she checks with her coordinator,And so she did, but she forgot to put the phone on hold, i waited for 10-15min while she was greeting other members and having a chit chat with them!I said hello a couple of times to ask if anyone is going to help me and was completely ignored.I was fed up with waiting for her and hung up the phone.So definitely 0 points for customer service!Very disappointing!

It's alright, however you can find better swimming facilities nearby. Also here, if you want to cancel your membership then at least 20 days (or more) notice period meaning the centre will still deduct your fees till that period of time regardless you are going or not. I have not experienced notice period 20 days plus as a policy, secondly you are paying it an extra amount as well.

The place itself and the Whitlam staff is very friendly/helpfulBut unfortunately can't say the same about their guests/visitors.Most don't have any idea the meaning of PUBLIC..Especially in the sauna area where there are many signs regarding not to pour any water on the dry sauna rocks due health& safety reasons but most of the time turns into arguments between visitors cause many ignore the signs and risking the lives of people who has health issues Whitlam management should stop looking the other way and ignore the serious ongoing problem by those who are doing the wrong and take action by verbal warnings/banning those who take the joy out of other visitors who come to the centre to exercise/relax ..Unfortunately very disappointing by management

Just love the idea and the initiation they have to have free child care for members! My wife can leave our son there for 2 hours while she works out and then can take our son for a swim! Not only its so economical but really supportive to parents. *Thumbs up*

We were here for a karate tournament held in the basketball stadium area of the centre. The toilet facilities in this area were not clean and run down.
