Hibiscus Resort and Spa Port Douglas

We are still waiting for a reply email in relation to the many issues regarding apartment 2 that we stayed in for 10 nights, upon which we were told by reception that all the apartments were the same. If one believes that torn and gaping fly screens on the door and windows, plastic shower curtain, BLOODIED mattress protector in cupboard, remnants of wasp hives, very shaky and dirty outdoor fan, no cupboard space or shelf at all in the bathroom combo toilet, and NO functioning dryers in the laundry (was told they don't know when they will be fixed) is acceptable, then there is nothing to complain about. The grounds and pool were immaculate, attended to what appeared to be by professional personel. The maintenance man we had could not fix what we advised reception about, although reception insisted all was taken care of. Our apartment was not as shown on the booking and did not overlook the pool as advised. The staff were friendly, however, the apartment was run down/badly maintained and we believe, not commensurate with what we paid. It just felt dirty and we felt cheated. We were invited into a couple of other apartments by patrons, and theirs were well appointed and not run down. I guess it's disappointing when you prepare all year to go on a holiday to such a beautiful part of Australia (especially after Covid 19 restrictions) and be made to put up with the foregoing.

We had a lovely stay. Location couldn’t be better with the Wharf, Beach, Cafes & Restaurant's all within easy walking distance.Beautiful clean & spacious room, 2 pools & gorgeous tropical gardens. Jenny was also a friendly host & helped book our transfers. Highly recommend!

Loved the place. Jenny at the reception helped us book our tours while in Port Douglas. Made multiple calls for us and got us the best deal. Clean place and comfortable. Common laundry and dryer available for $4.00 each. Plenty undercover parking on site. No lifts at the property so if you get a room on Level 1, you may have to carry your bags. 2 swimming pools, 1 with a jacuzzi. Great place and recommended.

Hibiscus Resort is absolutely incredible. We booked via Airbnb and as soon as we booked we were given quality service on email. We absolutely loved our stay at the Hibiscus. The pools were fantastic especially the lap pool in the back. The location was perfect and very quiet. I loved the whole Balinese setting. The grounds, statues and plants were all very relaxing and tranquil. A friend offered to take us to the Atherton Tablelands one day and I declined because I just wanted to hang out at the resort, it was that nice and relaxing! I didn't want to leave! I want to live there!

My partner and I recently stayed at the Hibiscus. It was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. From the moment we booked until after we departed we had nothing but the best support and communication from the Hibiscus team! The location was perfectly situated walking distance from everything. We would definitely recommend this accomodation to our friends. :)

Edit: I post anonymously. This review is 100% accurate.Lovely hotel, I love the room very spacious. The staff aren’t the friendliest bunch however I’m not here to get to know them so fair play. The two pool facilities are really nice though great for families especially as there are many pool toys and sun loungers. The hotel is very pretty and has a tropical vibe to it along with decent BBQ facilities.

Just stayed for a friends wedding and absolutely loved it!Our unit was spotlessly clean and had everything in it needed for a comfortable stay.Pools were fantastic and staff friendly and helpful.Front street only a couple of minutes walk away.Highly recommend.

Incredible room (37B via AirBNB). Really spacious with a super comfortable bed and many amenities. The pool was the perfect temperature and the resort was not far from the main street (few minutes walk). Highly recommend anyone coming to Port Douglas to stay here!!

Have stayed here a few times and thoroughly recommend it. So close to the Main Street in PD yet very quiet at night There are 2 lovely pools and a spa which don’t get too crowdedEasy walk to 4 mile beach and the Marina. The apartments are all nicely furnished but make sure you get one that overlooks the pool as there are a few that look out the back car park area which isn’t really nice when you want to sit on the balcony. There are barbecues by the pool which makes a nice option if you want to stay in for dinner
