Burwood East Primary School
My daughter enrolled into this incredibly school towards the end of grade 2. The moment we walked into Burwood east primary school we were greeted with a warm and welcoming attitude. The school has an amazing sense of community often holding various social nights. The education my daughter has received has been exceptional and clearly shown on naplan results. I would not hesitate in recommending this amazing school. Thank you to all the staff at Burwood east primary school for all the care and support you have shown my daughter over the past 4years.

I went to 6 schools. This school and Blackburn school was on my top list. I choose this school because of very experienced Prep teacher and the principal Mr MacDonald. Also when I saw relationship between student and him, then I realised I choose the right school. He spend long time (2 times at least half an hour each) for me and my husband to answer all our questions and he noticed all of our concerns.I am really looking forward to send my son to school now :)

This school was like a second home to me. I’ve been to BEPS since foundation, but sadly had to leave for high school. The teachers are very nice, kind and friendly. The principal was very kind to students. Although, he didn’t deal with bullies around the school, but the teachers only did.

On the tour: The principal was very respectful and spent a considerable amount of time discussing the school's values, its focus on student development, as well as the science and social themes studied in the curriculum from prep to older years. The facilities require improvement, but students appear content and busy learning.

This was the best school ever, I graduated last year and I have no complaints. The teachers were so nice and you could tell they cared about your learning, especially Mr D and Ms Balis. The school felt like a second home to me and I learned sooo much. I wish I could go back and I honestly loved my time there. There is a real sense of community and I would recommend this school to everyone!!! There are some reviews that say they got bullied but there was no bullying in the time I was there and the teachers where very supportive when it comes to students being sad.I love this school and I can't believe how fast time flies.

From previous reviews it is clear that the school is among the top of the Best School" list. I am not a parent but have witnessed two events from children of friends who attend this school:1. Bullying - It is prevalent and the school remains oblivious to it as it is working towards holding on to the "Best School" tag. It is paramount that the teaching staff are well trained and involved to notice bullying incidents and proactively take actions. It crushes the self confidence of a child when they are bullied for reasons from skin colour to being a slow learner.2. Communication of the teaching staff - Some of the staff are clearly not trained in communicating effectively parents when issues come up. Putting down a child in front of a parent is very demoralising for the child and the parent. Individual attention cannot be provided for all children

If I can give 0 star, I will do. Teacher seems very busy, and show no responsibility to provide quality education. Students theft money and stuff, even in the bag. Get bully by others, teacher reponsed as you should tell your parents

My daughter began at Burwood East in Prep and has just graduated Year 6 . She has had a wonderful journey through primary school and an unforgettable final year, leaving today with many treasured memories!!She has had caring and dedicated  teachers, who have supported her academically and also enriched her personal development.Since the arrival of the Principal Darren, our school has more than doubled in numbers. His friendly and approachable nature, along with his commitment to continuously improve our school, offers students and families a warm and welcoming learning environment.I look forward to many more years in the Burwood East community, as my younger daughters continue their Primary School journey at this wonderful school.

This is the worst school in Melbourne!!!! My son was bullied at this school physically assaulted was hit on the back of his head with a tennis racquet no punishment for the bully who hit my son, not only was he bullied by one bully but several bullies. The students who were chosen to have a role at the school for an example School Captains and House Captains their parents are involved at the school eg with the PFA, they were notified of their roles by receiving envelopes stating that they had the roles at this school before any of the other students who went for roles were notified, I felt this whole process was rigged. My son graduated from Grade 6 tonight and the students who got Awards they have school roles such as being School Captains and House Captains I found this to be also rigged also it was very unfair to the other students who did try their best throughout the year. The Principal is in denial not acknowledging that there is bullying at the school. The buildings are run down the school needs a new makeover. Last year when my son was in grade 5 the teacher who my son had wouldn’t contact me directly about my son being bullied by others luckily my son told me when he came home that he was getting bullied APALLING!!!! Since my son started at this school the homework given out is not relevant to what is actually being taught in class! Look elsewhere for a school for your child!!! The class sizes are too big!!
