Beautiful views and an interesting bit of history. I never knew that Chinese landed here and walked inland to mine for gold. A nice touch to a stunning seascape.

This is a really significant location in the history of our nation. The Chinese, discriminated against by the establishment in Port Phillip (Victoria), were forced to embark ar Robe and WALK 200 miles to the gold fields of Ballarat. The White Australia Policy was to follow, to our long term disgrace.

Interesting bit of history. Just a snippet of information though. Across from the spot is memorial to sunken ships, busts of Matthew Flinders and Baudin, and a looking glass from where you can look out to Baldwin's rock which is quite a distance away.
