Coral Cafe
A fabulous, friendly place to dine with some delicious menu items! We dined here during our stay for dinner and lunch (and actually even breakfast now I think about it!) and all the meals were very tasty. Was surprised at the abundance of fresh salads and vegetables in the dishes. A special thank you to the team who were super lovely during our stay, pulling over on the road to help my daughter and driving her back into town after a nasty bike fall.

Coral Cafe
Coral Cafe is located in the museum and is only open for dinner a couple of nights a week and limited hours during the day. It’s worth noting the opening hours and booking for dinner. The staff here are fantastic—very friendly, engaging and helpful. The food has Thai and Asian influences and is beautifully spiced and simply delicious. They have a good selection of specials on the menu for dinner and one or two for lunch. Kids will love the milkshakes (and the coffee is great for the adults)! Prices are much cheaper than many other eateries on the island (eg The Anchorage). It’s worth popping-in here early for lunch and visiting the museum. (When we visited, the museum hours were 0900-1300.) The room to the left of the entrance focuses on natural environment and to the right, island history. You can pick-up free guides to the island here (details on hiking trails) as well as fish identification cards to take diving/snorkelling (around $10 each I believe). They also detail weather for the day on a blackboard just inside the door.

Simple but delicious menu, excellent service from wait staff and the owner and a courtesy bus back to our accommodation. No complaints. The drinks menu is fairly small too but adequate.

We had morning coffee and wrap lunch here a couple of times. The toasted chicken and salad wrap was excellent! And take the opportunity to have a look around the adjacent museum and the tourist bureau.

Best dinner we had on Lord Howe. Friendly helpful staff and delicious Asian and seafood inspired dishes. Make sure you save room for dessert. Licensed.

Our nicest dining experience on Lord Howe! We had called in a couple of times for coffee or a snack lunch which were great, but our evening dinner was absolutely fabulous. A real positive surprise for a “cafe”. Definitely classy restaurant standard! Staff lovely, engaging and good at their jobs. Worth booking well ahead as they are understandably very popular.

Loved it and had quite a few coffee's, lunch and dinners here.The coffee was great and the meals were beautiful. I can highly recommend the King prawn linguine! My wife loved the kingfish.A verybusy restaurant, be sure to book early for your evening meals.
