Dr Vicki did not detect a lactose intolerance in my son which perpetuated many more months of debilitating pain. Even though a “routine” 2 week dairy elimination diet was undertaken we later were advised by another allied health professional that sometimes a longer elimination period was needed to alleviate pain and confirm this condition. He became pain free after a month of avoiding lactose and now can manage and avoid severe lactose intolerant reactions.
