Toodouri is a very unique kbbqWhen grilling the meat, there's a very distinct charcoal flavour.It was very enjoyable , so enjoyable that we came back for the second time within a week.However, on the second time, we decided to get the seafood pancake and tteokbokki. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the seafood pancake as much. It was too thick, battery, and soggy. No crispiness to the pancake.The tteokbokki was pretty okay, but not outstanding.But ending it on a good note, we really enjoyed the cold noodles.We'd definitely come back again for the meat sets and noodles.

Honestly, this is the best Korean charcoal BBQ in Melbourne that I have tried before. I love the way they use charcoal to grill meat. The meat here are very fresh and juicy (both unseasoned and marinated). The main dish are very nice too. I recommend Kimchi pancake and Bibimbap beef. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. They helped us a lot and I come here once a week!!!! Must-try in town!!!

First meal out of lockdown and it didn’t disappoint! The venue has a very traditional kbbq restaurant feel. With everything from the decor, tables and service reminding me of Korea! The staff were friendly and hard working. All the food was tasty and cooked well, though the meat quality for some of the pieces were average. Overall a good kbbq option in the cbd area.

I don’t post many reviews but I can’t express my disappointment enough with this restaurant. The reason people go to a charcoal KBBQ restaurant is so your food can be grilled on charcoal. We were told the upstairs area had seating, however, we were met with gas stoves. The waitress told us that the gas lights the charcoal, however, upon checking, there was only one piece of charcoal under the stove.The portion sizes were very small compared to other KBBQ restaurants I have eaten at and the servings were so inconsistent. For example, the first pork belly plate had three pieces, however, the other two plates we ordered had two pieces. We asked a staff member about this and we were told that each serving has two pieces. This is despite photos showing three pieces.I’ve given this two stars because I actually enjoyed the corn cheese. However, that doesn’t excuse the lack of ventilation in the restaurant and inconsistencies in portion sizes. I’d give this a miss if I were you.

Great Korean barbecue spot for small groups! We came on a weeknight at 9pm for a late dinner, and the place was still quite busy.They change the charcoal grill plates quite regularly, which is good. And the quality of the meats were great. I had the CRISPIEST kimchi pancake of my life, seriously would go back again just for that.One small downside was they ran out of rice (was cooking some more) and our rice only arrived at the end of our meal. Understandable though since group after group arrived after us, the staff were flat out.Cash payments get a small discount!

I received the great service whenever I visit this place by Kim. She is the best staff I’ve ever seen. Meat quality is the best in Melbourne. Especially pork belly and beef prime rib. This is the best place for Korean barbecue ever.

Standard meat, price and atmosphere (slightly dark and narrow). The place can be busy, so reservation is recommended.The reason for the 4 star is that our waitress was fantastic. We came as a big group, ordered many things time and again; and she smiled every single time she took our order. Great service.

Honestly, sad to say we weren’t a big fan of this restaurant. The meat quality was very average/poor and the service was pretty average too. We didn’t like that there wasn’t enough time to eat our food because it was pushed to the side and the next thing was slapped on. We felt rushed to eat by the waitress who was also in a rush cooking everyone’s meals at once. We liked the nice and clean and the bbq grill was very unique/cool looking!

I have tried many Korean BBQ in Melbourne, but Toodouri is the best one to me so far. The meat is very fresh and juicy. Personally, I really like galbisal and pork belly. The corn cheese is also very good. The staffs here are really friendly and professional. They are always willing and happy to re-fill the side dishes for me.
