As a long standing customer of allure I am deeply disappointed in my recent experience. This review is not in critic of the amazing girls who style and colour hair there, they are incredible and always have been. My declined experience is due to the following:-Text message days before my booking (which was booked in advance 3 months ahead) asking for a $120 deposit or my booking would be cancelled) apparently a new policy which was abruptly communicated.-Deposit having to be paid by credit card then charged a $9 processing fee unexpectedly.-deposit did not show up on system when I went to pay in full, this does not show confidence in your systems and made me feel like my money had gone missing or like I was lying about payment.-hairdresser had to call management at 9pm at night to try and resolve issue which took 10+ minutes.-When I requested to use my instore loyalty card (which took some time to find) which has a $25 discount available to use, I was told I couldn’t use it because I was already getting a discounted rate despite having paid $266 for my service which is the most I have ever paid for my hair and was shocked at the price. Since when are your prices this high? How can you justify charging prices like this to loyal customers?-I always book my next appt in advance 3-4 months. When I asked to book in late September I was told in order to do that I needed to cough up another $120 to secure that booking. I politely declined as this type of money is not readily available in my bank account for a service I aim to have 4 months away.-The hairdresser had some issues with applying my toner which turned parts of my hair pink, you would think this would of worried me but it was actually the least of my worries and I appreciate her hard work to rectify the issue :)Hopefully this shows that good customer service and business strategy go hand in hand. You have run your business by offering discounts and loyalty based bonuses for so long and to all of a sudden change that and expect your long standing customers to follow suit is bold. You have lost a customer in me and I hope you are prepared to loose many more.

Pretty awful experience today. Went in to brighten my highlights and treat hair before a trip away and I can’t even get a brush through it. Feels like straw, the knots aren’t out, and looks completely flat and horrendous. Not even sure it was washed and conditioned after toner? Now I need to go home and wash/dry it myself before we fly out. Probably an off day as nobody was in there and wanted to get me out but disappointing and frustrating.

Finding a new hairdresser is daunting but I hit the jackpot when I found Maddison at Allure. From the first visit I was so absolutely thrilled with my new cut and style. I have short hair and I’m pretty particular with how I like it but Maddison listened to what I wanted, made a couple of suggestions which sounded great and I was over the moon with the finished product. Now after my second visit I’m just as happy. She is amazing, very kind and sweet and gave the best hair wash I’ve had. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
