The Dog Lady

Deb, also known at The Dog Lady,came highly recommended from a number of different people. We enrolled in Puppy Preschool which was more for the adults and children than the new addition to the family. She gave us much needed sensible guidelines, tips, advice and practices to help nurture a happy and well- adjusted dog. The course went for four Sundays which gave us many opportunities to consolidate, process and apply what we had learnt. Deb is so knowledgeable and experienced and available for one on one sessions should you need it (I felt we did!). To have this support ongoing is really reassuring. Well worth it for all of us.

We adopted our puppy not knowing his exact history or behavioural traits. When he came to our home he was highly anxious and had never been socialised/been outside a yard.When I first met Deb I was riddled with anxiety and stress worried that I would be unable to help my pup become the best version of himself.I have worked regularly with Deb 1:1 for over 3 months now and her skillset is next to none. Every session I left feeling empowered with knowledge and tips and tricks to help our little boy.Fast forward 3 months and it's like we have a different dog. He is able to relax, loves meeting new people (previously would have a panic attack) and is learning to socialise with other dogs. In addition, my mental health has come leaps and bounds. I am so grateful for Deb and all her knowledge, patience and guidance. She goes above and beyond in her service - she truly cares about your dog and her love for animals is evident in her ability to connect with all dogs. I could not recommend her more.

We took our Daisy to see Deb for some private lessons after we felt the puppy school we took her to didn’t really suit Daisys needs. Deb was amazing! She gave us some really good tips and taught us how to look at things differently to what people are usually taught about dogs. Daisy loves visiting the haven and we are all sad our lessons are over!Would highly recommend Deb to anyone

Deb is amazing at what she does! She was immediately able to see where I needed to work with Toby and is teaching me the skills to do so. She assured me that I was already doing many things correctly and has given me the confidence to continue training my very busy and clever border collie. We had Debi help us out last weekend at our wedding where our pup Tilly was our ring bearer.Debi was absolutely amazing during the whole process from briefing her on what we needed, keeping in contact, knowing exactly what we needed on the day, and dropping Tilly home afterwards. Debi always listens to your concerns and helps find a solution that best suits you and your pooch. Listening to your dog is by far the best advice I have ever been given......and the dogs love her endlessly.

Our experience with Debi Coleman @The Dog Lady was absolutely wonderful and rewarding for us and our puppy. We learnt so many important skills in training her and our puppy haa gained the invaluable socialisation and obedience skills essential to a puppy's growth. Deb truly has a connection with dogs and can understand what they are trying to tell to us. My dog went through some very hard times and was displaying some concerning behaviours. We met with Deb and she was amazing. Within a month my dog was back to her old, happy self. And I was provided with the skill set to provide my dog with a happy home. I cannot thank Deb enough!
