Margate Hot Bread

Finally found a hot bread shop that is not Asian!.Excellent service by two Aussie lady. Our egg and lettuce sandwichs freshly made where just lovely. Thank you Ladies. Keep up the great work! (And don't ever sell)

I had a great customer experience here last Sunday. The sausage rolls are the best in town.

I went to the bakery ( Around 11:30am ) yesterday and really had the most unfriendly sour staff member you could get!From the impression I got, she hates her job and should not be in customer service. Never smiles and everything is a hassle.While in there a customer whispered Don't get the salad rolls

I have always felt this a great bakery, but today was so disappointed. I had driven to the GC & back and rather than stop at a chain restaurant, decided to shop local as felt like a healthy sandwich. My sandwich was so stale, I had to discard much of the bread and only ate as I was really hungry. Also the silver side was old and dry. Tiredness prevented me from returning the sandwich to the store. :(

Good morning,We purchased a birthday cake (yellow brick road). Our guests commented that the cake was great.Beautiful sponge layers.Highly recommend this bakery.

This is the best bakery in QLD, I would travel a great distance to get to this bakery. The owners are beautiful, they always have a friendly smile, they really take care of you. The menu has a large range both hot and cold foods and when you have a large order they always pop in a little treat for free.

Each Sunday I buy the the sunday paper at the 4 square next door.Then into this bakery for 2 apple turnovers. I do this for my 83 year old mum she's been reading Sunday papers her whole adult life and she loves Apple turnovers as do I. The week before she loved them so much she couldn't stop talking about them. I walked in and asked if they're fresh the friendly girl behind the counter answered made yesterday acceptable I thought. When I walked in to mum's place her eyes lit up she didn't even wait for the cup of tea I was making literally gone in 60 seconds lol.She then commented she couldn't taste any apple and we both commented might have been the last one in the batch and they ran out of apple mix .Cups of tea made sat down to enjoy my cup and apple turnover guess what barely any apple mix in mine either. This shows a pattern lots of cream but I'd say a teaspoon of apple mix for a large apple turnover is not enough ( oh and my mum worked in a bakery in the Netherlands for a decade the owner of that bakery was good friends with our family so lots of cakes and sweets consumed and a bit of knowledge on these sorts of things) I'm understanding that the price of ingredients go up especially now. They should have been smaller less cream and the apple mix would be enough as last weeks purchase set the precedent of expectations.Why do businesses persist in treating customers as fools.I'd be happy to give them a second chance mum says why should you. They think we're dumb and don't know and she's right she's been in the industry
