I bought a kilo of beef, which I stated was for a slow cooked curry. The lady kindly diced it for me on the spot. However, it required more work when I returned home, to chop off a very significant amount of fat and gristle, the net result was almost half edible meat. At $24/kilo I would have paid less at a supermarket for a far superior product. I'm all for supporting local business, but I won't return to Petersen's.

The individual chunky meat pies are delicious! I bought 2 today that were freshly made, the pastry is uncooked so after placing them in the oven for 40 minutes they came out as though home made. An absolute hit with my husband. Highly recommend for these chill winter nights.Thank you Petersens!

Wonderful service every time I'm there and I'm blown away at the prices. This is a real butchers and as soon as you buy quality meat from here once you'll regret every time in the past you spent your money elsewhere.

Very disappointed with this butcher. I bought 2 dog bones and was charged $32, outrageous even for New Farm. I won’t be back!
