Common Grounds Gowrie Cafe
Our favourite local cafe and has amazing (Campos) coffee which is delicious.The staff are really friendly and helpful although be warned that at times they get insanely busy and there can be a wait on the coffee - its worth whatever wait is necessary ;-)I tend to have plain old poached eggs on toast every time which are perfectly cooked. My family have tried all the many different menu items and love the flavours. The french toast & taro pancakes have been firm favourites.

how hard is it to make a toasted sandwich....too hard, apparently!I had to return it as one side was just hot bread, not toasted at all. they didn't seem to understand the issue tho, I had to explain a few times. won't be returning and won't be recommending.

Nice little Cafe, plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor seating. Very busy when we visited but staff were coping well and were very friendly. Coffee came out quickly, Campos beans, great flavour and just the right temperature. Food was delicious and well presented. The bacon and egg roll was great, the bacon was a highlight. Colombian hash was excellent pork was tasty and there was just enough chilli heat to make it interesting.

Coffee and food are always enjoyable but if you're planning to 'duck in' for a takeaway coffee, call ahead. The takeaway service is often very slow.

Common grounds used to be really good but lately noticed the food quality is poor, getting service is slow and they can’t seem to get my coffee right. Such a shame

We had a delightful dinner. the food was terrific - fresh ingredients with ample portions. Pizzas were great value as were the other dishes. Also the sides, especially the salad. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely dine there again. Highly recommended.

Food and coffee were nice, but came out separately at different times.Ordered a milkshake. We were almost done with our food and I came in to ask where it was, got told It's on its way."Finished our food. I walked in and said we'd finished our food and still hadn't gotten the milkshake

Sunday 10am, but 15 minutes for a takeaway coffee is ridiculous.2 staff on the machine need to be more efficient, should easily handle the volume of coffee orders with a reasonable wait time for both seated and takeaway orders.
