Eye Clinic For Animals

I have been a Veterinary Nurse for the past 38 years. Over that time, I have seen many patients referred to Dr Jeffery Smiths practice for ophthalmology issues, with very pleasing results and happy clients.In August of last year, unfortunately my little French Bulldog Banjo, had a nasty perforation and needed to have his eye ablated. Then around October he developed a Corneal Ulcer and Glaucoma in his other eye. For both of these issues I went to the Eye clinic for Animals and was extremely impressed with the treatment Banjo receivedAll the staff there have been amazing, but I cannot speak more highly of Dr Kelly Caruso. Saw Dr Kelly at Yagoona. She was magnificent with our baby Cosette. Gentle and so thorough and has put our minds to rest. Considering the level of expertise we were very happy with the cost. She was brilliant dealing with our toy poodle baby (little duck) and so gentle. Thank you.

Took my pup to get eye surgery, worst experience ever. communication was non-existent, quality of surgery was very poor, customer service was poor also. Before surgery the nurse confirmed the surgery procedure, when I had picked her up Dr Smith had also done the left eye. No one mentioned why. I would never return to this place (espically Dr Smith - who should have retired years ago). I was told she needed right eye entropian surg and right eye surg for 3rd eye lid. Paid over $3500 for surgery that did not work, when I returned concerned to Dr Smith a week later, he tried to charge me again to fix his inadequate surgery. What he did was useless anyway and did not address my concern that the third eye lid was completely covering her eye - her poor face, her eyes looked muterlated. 2 months after and now the 3rd eye lid surgery failed also (which I was never warned that this could fail) - all 3 surgery's failed!!!!

Fantastic service. Dr Jeff, Joanna and the team saved our pug's eye which had a nasty corneal ulcer. We're in Canberra and they do periodic visits for post surgery check ups.

Would you like to know about your pet's eye surgery, such as cataracts? They are specialists for that.

Great friendly people who genuinely care about your pets and you. They do a fantastic job. Easy to find and get to. Parking can be a little tight but I always find a spot..

Thankyou Gladys and all of the caring doctors and teams at Yagoona and Artarmon who looked after our much loved galah Smokey. His cataract operation was a great success, he is healing very well and is back to his normal self yelling at the cat and dancing to his favourite songs. The whole process from consultation, operation and follow up appointments has been excellent. Smokey will be 42 this year.

Dr Ben and the nurse were fantastic with my anxious cattle dog. They were able to examine and treat him without sedation! Something that our local vet has never managed.
