My search for “Who is the best family lawyer in Brisbane?” came to fruition.This is what I did: I searched for someone with a lot of experience, which is very important to me. What a horrific experience and unethical family law firm.I do not recommend Simonidis Steel because the principal Deano is greedy and lazy.My account was suspended and on the day of my first court appearance, I was threatened with the notion that no one who appear for me unless I transferred more money into their account. After 3 months of no materiel being filed and payment by me of $25k, Simonidis Steel suspended my account 10 days before the next court appearance, unless I gave them $20,000.This family law firm don’t care about you, they only care about the money.!!Simonidis Steel did not comply with court orders made by the judge, they never filed material on my behalf, but charged me for the work to produce, they also tried charging me after they suspended my account.Simonidis Steel were overcharging me. It took 3 years in Magistrate, Simonidis Steel suing me! In the end Simonidis Steel concede and agreed to remove all the over charges, and I won my case.However, the damage had been done. Deano Simonidis told the judge I had not paid their invoices, even though there was $60k in their trust account And I was forced to self represent in family court because they withheld funds in trust for 4 years.In the end Simonidis Steel conceded and agreed to remove all the over charges - I won my case and I was repaid the funds held in trust.As a DV victim, I was suffering a post traumatic stress and was continually being victimised by my narcissist ex-husband.Simonidis Steel were greedy, lazy and non compassionate lawyers.I was scream at and threatened by Deano Simonidis, ‘transfer another $20k or that’s it!!’Simonidis Steel are not the type of lawyers you want representing you in Family Court.
