BlueCare Wynnum Aged Care Facility

we are both entitled to services such as home maintenance , domestic help and garden assist . I understand staff shortages causing issues BUT twice now , even before Covid , We have been billed for both in home assessment and referral to trades by BlueCare However , no one actually did any work for us or even sent quotes. I had to go elsewhere for urgent help and risk unscreened services. They never have gardeners or domestics available. Add post script . Recently ( 13/02/22) , Geof , the maintenance supervisor , called me , apologised and corrected the charges on my account . He said it was unfortunate that the trade allocated to my job had failed to respond . Geof has always been very helpful and considerate .

My mum spent her last days here, and the staff were amazing! On her last day the staff were kind, and supportive and we are so grateful for them! I received a call today from their social worker just checking on us, beautiful people!!

worst place ever. do not recommend going here to work or anything dont trust the workers to do anything untrustworthy resource for anything.

My father spent his last couple of days here and I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful staff, the magnificent facilities and the quality of care he received. I had no idea such a wonderful service was available. Thank you, Blue Care!

Palliative care staff very helpful, understanding and answered questions honestly.

Ok. but a lot of the money disappears to admin, you can see that. services are not as good as Silver Chain for what the government is paying for.

What a wonderful facility for the elderly, staff are friendly and there is so much green space

My Nana was a resident here and the staff are absolutely amazing. She seemed to enjoy her room and never had anything bad to say about the place. Highly recommend :)

My grandmother passed away here in Jan 2019. Ive been hesitant now for 4 years to leave a review.So much neglect and abuse its truly horrible. I lived in Sydney and come to visit her 4 times before she passed. Nanna was here for 6 months and i brought my concerns to the nursing staff and management numerous times with no solution.Feeding her bacon when she was on a liquid only diet..i walked in fresh of a plane to find my Nanna choking on said piece of bacon and blue. Same occasion she was in filthy soiled clothes and bedding for days! The nurse addmitted they hadn't had time to change her or her bedding. Just place a towel on the mess (5 towels to be exact)I then had to bath her brush her hair and tend to her massive bed sore myself. When the dr came to see her i let him know about said bed sore he was horrrified it wasnt in her notes anywhere or documented.My Nanna wasn't mobile and a fragile frail small lady. She had NO DIGNITY WHEN SHE PASSED!!!She had numerous bruises on her body was being neglected complaints were made meetings had nothing ever changed. She was left alone in her room and went extended periods without food. She was also type 1 diabetic. She was mocked and laughed at by nursing staff and when i fronted them about it they walked away and laughed. More complaints made meetings had and no change she passed a week after all this.No apology for the neglect nothing.One of the worse nursing homes i have ever come across! If i had POA i would have brought her home to pass happy warm loved. Not alone dirty and neglected.Your nursing staff are deplorable and so is your facility.
