Williams Esplanade Palm Cove

Like being on a tropical island. Just great - chilled, relaxed, places to eat and drink, happy people and not bombed with visitors.

Williams Esplanade Palm CoveVisited on 14/7/2022 - 18/7/2022Williams Esplanade is flanked by the beack on one side and shops, eateries and resort accommodation on the another.If you are in Palm Cove and do not walk along here, you have NOT been to Palm Cove at all.There is Jetty where people come to fish. Not everyone is lucky enough to catch for a hearty meal. If so, they will have to pay for their meals at one or more of the restaurants around.The Esplanade has several free-to-use barbeque hotplates, public toilets and a fenced off playground for the young children.While you are here, check out the huge Melaleuca or White Tea Tree, and find out whether your arms are long enough to hug one. There is a very big one or is it 2 in the Visitor Information Centre.You may want to climb up some steps to check out the Palm Cove Shopping Village. There is a small supermarket and deli, and other shops, including a hair studio. I leave it to you to explore.The waves can be quite big, and there are surf life saving guards to keep an eye on the swimmers. Swimmers must take responsiblity of their own safety, and make sure to swim between the flagsThere is a bus to Cairns city. How convenient it is!

It's a beautiful spot. Very busy on the weekends.
